Comprehensible Input - people acquire language when they receive messages that are understandable. They can't speak before they're ready. Early speech is typically not accurate.

ex-"language at someone's level"

Low Affective Filter - a number of affective variables play a facilitative, but non-causal, role in second language acquisition.

ex- when the level of concern is the right amount the learning is optimal because if it's too high there is anxiety and if it's too low then there's boredom.

Meaningful Communication - the communication among language learners that focuses on the message that they want to convey instead of the form.

ex - teaching students fact vs opinion and the students giving examples.

Comprehensible Input :people acquired language when they understand it. An example will be day to day language with peers.

Low Affective Filter: When learning the language they go through filters (anxiety, motivation, and self-confidence). An example can be student in a higher grade level, speaking in front of classroom, or reading aloud.

Meaningful Communication: communication that makes sense with gestures, pictures, and prompts to make them understand and engage them. An example is give me thumbs up when is meaningful .
