Summative assessments are the ultimate assessment of everything compiled up to measure what the students learned.
We can formatively assess our students through different activities, (pear deck, kahoot, etc) to see if students know the information in real time.
I have never taught online, and hopefully will never have to, but I have used padlet, pear deck, and kahoot to assess students using technology.

Online assessments look different in an online learning space because there is no instructor within arms-length who presence reinforces honesty and fidelity. To digitally assess, I have used Teams forms to administer assessments.
