Definition
The Ideological Support is usually connected to magic and religious beliefs by a group of people.
There are many places that study Astrology, however, in India, there is a way to study it at The Indian Institute of Astrology. Some religious for example Hinduism are tied to astrological readings.
The 2 pseudoscience theories that apply are Patternicity as well as Emotional connections. In my example of Astrology it focuses on the need to know the future occurrences as well as playing on peoples fears. It puts together patterns that are found in a group of people, combined with a group of people's pure need of knowing the future. However this depicts more of a red-flag, tham a true belief.

The problem is that the statement "it must be a full-moon" is used often to explain certain types of behaviour, especially when there are more then one occurrence.
There is not enough proof to prove this argument, and it is used as a simple way to explain the unexplained. It is based on historical facts and stories rather than a true explanation. The source seems credible as it is the Washington Post, and a professional PHD professor was discussing it based on his extensive research on behavioural studies and the impact it has on us by the moon.
