         <title>Writing Workshop</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>I used writing workshop twice this year with a personal essay and a compare and contrast essay.  The writing workshop consisted of four stations:  style (figurative language and punctuation), transitions, active voice, and peer edits.  This also allowed me to use this time to conduct one-on-one conferences with students.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>As a vocab review activity, I separated the class into two groups.  They had to complete five quizzes, and whichever group completed them quickest won.  The catch was that the quizzes were located in various places around the school (mostly with other teachers).  Students would receive clues to which had their quiz.
