         <description><![CDATA[<div>Burning is used to take care of purple loosestrife in small ammounts. This is not a very popular method of removing this plant because of the risk it has (wildfire). <br><a href="https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb1081652.pdf">https://www.nrcs.usda.gov/Internet/FSE_DOCUMENTS/stelprdb1081652.pdf</a><br><strong>Pros:<br></strong>It's a very effective method of getting rid of this plant. <br><br>Burning allows not only the plant to be destroyed but the seeds also. <br><br>Fire is free<br><br><strong>Cons: <br></strong>Fire is very dangerous&nbsp;<br><br>Fire can get out of control very easily<br><br>Purple loosestrife mainly grows in wetlands. Fire can't burn water. Therefore the roots will no be completely destroyed and the plants will continue growing.</div>]]></description>
