Purple loosestrife mainly grows in wetlands. Fire can't burn water. Simple way to take care of problem

Round-up is the most common chemical to treat this --> Inespensive

It's effective in small patches of the species

Cons:
It is a very risky way of treating the plant because Round-up easily spread and can kill other plants too. 

For farmers it is bad because there are very few chemicals that will kill the plant without killing the crop --> expensive.
