  • Modern dystopian fiction is usually set in the future, and the events that led to the world dystopia are the consequences of people’s innovations. Such novels could have different effects on people. For some, dystopian fiction could be presented as a warning about the possible future if modern society and technology do not stop taking action towards the unsustainability and chaos in the world. However, for others, it could be as if they lost hope and more of the depressive view of the current events.
