The main character so far seems to frequently go to his home, the sidewalk, and the firehouse. These come in a form of repetition and a sense of familiarity and routine. The longer the main character spends time on the sidewalk with the girl, the more he starts to think about things and why he is to do the things he does. The more time he spends at the firehouse, the more 1 null and confused, and 2 its his work, but yet he wonders about the things he is to do. His home is mentioned, and it is a place of familiar, but yet it also feels null.

The main character so far has been going through a mid life chrisis. He is realizing that the way people live in his community is strange. His fellow firemen set a woman on fire and now he is paranoid, and is arguing with his "wife" to realize that the way they live is not ordinary. He kept one of the books he was supposed to burn under his pillow, and now the cheif fireman is in his house because he called in sick.

Montag struggles with a lot. More definition to that is that he struggles with his understanding of the world. He met the girl clarisse and she introduced him into a new way of thinking and he is struggling to understand it. He also struggles with his wife, and how she just doesn't seem to understand his viewpoint. He also isn't getting the answers he wants from anyone he has interacted with. He kept one of the books and is now worried that once he gets find out, that he might have to give up everything he's only ever known in this world where his occupation was passed down. These conflicts that are here and that have been created for him, increase his paranoia, and they lessen his chances of finding out what the world is actually about and why they do the things they do like burn the books and create fire as firemen.

The places we repeatedly went to so far in the story is his home, the sidewalk, and the firehouse. When he is at his home he feels normal in it but at the same time dull and feels expressionless within it. On the side walk with the girl, he begins questioning and wanting to know why like a philosopher, and at his job(firehouse) he feels conflicted on why he ha sto burn these books and slowly it gets confusing to him.

The Character Montag is trying to get a better understanding with the new found knowledge he has attained thanks to a girl named Clarisse. She has gave him another point of view of the world that they live in which makes him so confused. The questions he has been asking people aren't being answered and it is frustrating him because he just really wants to know the truth. These situations that Montag has been introduced into is causing him to crack up and confusing him with why him and his fellow workers(firemen) have to burn these books in the fires they create.

The way he speaks about the hound and how he is on the run, with the hyperboles makes it seem so much more dramatic that is is, and it really puts into perspective on how badly his life is in danger and it is seen through the metaphors. The personification of the riverbed as it carries him toward the unknown but trusted safety makes it feel unreal, and if he could be in a dream and nothing more. It feels like he has finally escaped and this is important because he is finally free after a while of struggling and trying to figure out his identity. He knows who he is now, and is literally going with the flow.

The theme i see from this novel is that sometimes, your own identity and sanity are more important than your role in society and how it impacts you. I learned this From Montag, as he struggles in his place of high, and cant seem to feel right after meeting Clarisse, as she shifted his whole viewpoint. While meeting her and getting to know her, he learned about who he is and started thinking. When his thoughts became too much, he had to do something, but everyone turned on him, and he had to give up who he was in order to see the truth of his ignorant bliss, which in fact, was all fake.

These pieces of evidence give a sequence, and how Beatty turned on his own officer, and his wife was the one who turned him in, seeing the books, after its been the hours already. When Montag steals a book (Or a lot), his chief knows about it, and threatens his home and his life if he doesn't burn the book when he's done with it. He ends up keeping it, and that turned everyone against him, his wife, his comrads, and his 'family', just because of one 'trivial' act in their eyes. The problem with our society is that we have exclusions because people do these things that we collectively don't agree with or like, and then all of the sudden we hate that person, and are willing to hurt them, even if it was someone who we were close with. Today there are still queer kids who are getting shamed and hated just for existing because they are only different by a little bit.

"The front door opened slowly. Faber peered out, looking very old
in the light and very fragile and very much afraid. The old man looked
as if he had not been out of the house in years. He and the white plaster
walls inside were much the same. There was white in the flesh of his
mouth and his cheeks and his hair was white and his eyes had faded,
with white in the vague blueness there. Then his eyes touched on the
book under Montag's
arm and he did not look so old any more and not quite as fragile.
Slowly, his fear went.
"I'm sorry. One has to be careful."
He looked at the book under Montag's arm and could not stop. "So
it's true."
Montag stepped inside. The door shut.
"Sit down." Faber backed up, as if he feared the book might vanish
if he took his eyes from it."

The character Faber is a very fragile but stubborn character. He is important, because he becomes an accomplice in Montag's whole situation, and even thinks of some things for Him to do so that he can get away. His motivation for helping Montag is to secure that there are some places where he can go, and to help him get through it all without going too insane. He is Montag's Side kick and helps him throughout the better half of the book. His intentions are kind, and hopeful, and this is important because everyone else turns on Montag, and this is the only character to help him, except for the group at the end.

Montag is showing characteristics of compassion. This is showing compassion because he cares for her well being. He is also self-conflicted because he is confused why he wouldn't mourn his own wife which also shows he is compassionate because he do want to mourn for his wife if she does end up passing from overdosing.

When Montag starts to talk about his wife with her drug addictions and how she doesn't care that she might die from an overdose is a huge problem for him. This connects to our society because people with drug addictions don't really care about the people that they are affecting around them and they don't care that they might die from the taking the drugs which could negatively affect the people that are close or around them. Even in present day, there are many drug abusers who hurt the people around them by dying from an overdose even when it could have been prevented. This is a huge problem because it affects people in a negative way and cause complications around the world.

The settings of this book are outside on the sidewalk, at home, in the fire house, and in the main characters bedroom. This influences the story because each one of these places gives the character fammiliarity, which later turns into something dark.

The main character is a very different man compaired to his companions. He cannot fully think for himself, however, he is more compassionate and curious about what is going on in his day to day life. he is slowly becoming more aware of what is going on and how strange everyone is acting. He feels things on a deeper scale, and this influences his character development in the future.

The theme im seeing from this novel is that we have our own opinions on ideas, and silence can be broken no matter the circumstance. The main character was brainwashed into thinking he was living a normal life, and he was able to break free from that mental corruption and fight back. He was able to voice his opinion after so many years of being silent. This shows how no matter what, we can always stand up for ourselves and voice our opinions.

when the main character watches a person get burned alive to defend what they belive in, this pryes open the eyes of the main character. He finally sees just how corrupted people are. this can be related to how people in other countries are silenced for voicing their opinions, like in iraq, and how women get no right to speak for themselves, and in pakistan, they get no religious choice.
