The food shop sells snacks and drinks to Truong Quoc Dung campus students. While there is a canteen on the 7th floor that serves free food, this shop is seen by students as an “other option” when canteen food is either not enough or not delicious. It is the students’ only alternative to the school canteen because they cannot go outside to buy from nearby food stalls or convenience stores.

The food shop's products range from fresh patisseries and fresh fruits to packaged snacks and bottled drinks. The shop does not serve a hot meal. It is also worth noting that snacks sold at the shop are mostly sweetened products, which are not rich in nutrition and are not highly beneficial to students’ health. Even when the recent consumption trend has grown in “healthy snacks”, the ground-floor shop has yet to include healthier offerings.
