Plus, more jobs were being made that were also open due to the war needing industrial workers. So, it was left to the only capable people left, the women. The government encouraged women to get jobs and take the mans place while he's away. This also, meant less people were unemployed, and people all across the board had more money. On top of all that, a lot of the women were doing their jobs more efficiently than the men.
