However, many students do not have a place designated to study in their home, and also some cannot afford to make dedicated offices in their home, so they turn to this café. And because it is an unknown place in Kuwait and many need a quiet place, so I chose it in this theme. The story of that incredible house goes back to 55 years ago, when Khalifa and his Italian wife Lidia started decorating most of the house from unusual creative shapes made with mirror mosaic tiles. Lidia said, “I have a dream to create a world of my own beauty and inspiration”. In fact, tons of colorful broken glass were used to create shapes inspired by the nature such as birds, butterflies, fish, oceans , stars, planets, and quranic verses . The glass-covered the house inside and out from the ceiling to the floor. And one of the house rules that visitors shouldn’t enter the house with their shoes to maintain the floor from any damage. Moreover, the house is owned by talented artists at one of the art museums in Kuwait City.
