Student A, B and C read the section on the President. Each of them had a question. Can you help them in answering these questions? (a) Student A: What happens if the President and the Prime Minister disagree about some policy? Does the view of the Prime Minister always prevail? (b) Student B: I find it funny that the President is the Supreme Commander of the Armed Forces. I doubt if the President can even lift a heavy gun. What is the point in making the President the Commander? (c) Student C: I would say, what is the point in having a President at all if all the real powers are with the Prime Minister?

a) the prime minister view always prevail because he is the head of the parliament and has more power compared to others in parliament . the president can only give suggestions it is prime minister 's wish to take or leave the suggestion made by president. example - when lok sabha sends a bill to the president the president can only make some suggestions and delay the bill . it is lok sabha 's decisions whether to take the suggestion made by the president or to leave . if the lok sabha didnt take the suggestion then also the president have to sign the bill .
b)the president is made the supreme commander of armed forces because he is the head of the state and represents our country . he needs to give commands to armed forces. no manual works is needed for the president to do .
c) the president is head of the state and represent our country and in parliament if there is no president the discussions wont come to an end . and president appoints prime minister . so, it is important to have a president

a) The Prime Minister's view always prevails. In this case the President can only return the policy for reconsidering or give suggestions. But once it is sent again after reconsidering, then the president will have to sign it and make it a law.
b) The President need not lift a gun. His duty is to command them. He must be able to give the right commands He does not need to do anything. He is the Supreme commander of the defence forces of India.
c) The President is the head of the state. The powers are divided among the Prime minister and President. The Prime minister does not have all the powers. The president can elect Chief Justice of India, Election Commissioner, Ambassador of other countries, Governors and the Judges of the Supreme and High court, which Prime Minister can't. The Prime Minister is also appointed by the President. So, we need a President as well as Prime Minister.

a) the prime minister's views will always prevail as he is the head of the government. the president may only make suggestions. the parliament and prime minister will then decide whether to accept or decline that suggestion. the president can also only postpone a bill if he or she disagrees for upto14 days, but if the same bill is issued once again by the parliament, he needs to sign it.

b)the president is an integral part of the government. he or she is the supreme commander of the armed force. The president is appointed to protect the rights of the citizens according to the Indian constitution and to look at the problem through the citizens point of view.

c)in the government, no person should have supreme power, because with supreme power comes great responsibility. having such a great amount of power in a single person's hands can lead to corruption or even health issues due to the tremendous amount of stress.so, to share the powers of leadership of the country, both the president and the prime minister are appointed.
