Starts the beginning of what happens to Montag throughout the story since Montag has started to reflect back on things ever since Clarrise said "Are you happy?"

Connection to Bradbury's "The Pedestrian." This is showing that perhaps the uncle is just like Leonard Mead from the short story.

Mildred is a great example of what the "Pedestrian" by Bradbury is about since she is always linked up or at least participating in something that has an electronic. It's basically what happens when you listen to music 24/7 and only watch TV to the point to where you become physically and mentally unhealthy.

Will they spare him since they are his friends or will they not care and carry out their job with a stone face?

Montag plans to bring the bible back after the war although sometimes his temper gets in the way of things.

Fadler tells Montag things to do and listens to Montag's surroundings through an earpiece that was given when they met up.

After a day of getting the ear piece, Montag plans to meet back up with Fadler and someone that remembers how to and also can print things. (part of plan to mass produce the bible after the war.)

One of the wives just goes from husband to husband because she things that is just how she lives. her name started with a "Mrs. P___"

Before the reveal and leaving to go to Montag's house, Beatty recites a lot of texts from books that the other firemen don't catch on to.

Turns out that Beatty had already known when Montag had became sick with 'curiosity fever' and also helped with the fact that Montag said "if a firemen accidentally took a book what would happen?"

To confirm Beatty's suspicions, he sent the hound and the calls from the 2 friends of Mildred which Captain Beatty had later revealed.

Afterward, Montag burns Beatty and goes on the run, while running, he decides to start a fire at Ms. Black's house by putting a book in their house and alerting firemen to the house. He tells us that this is his "start to try and fix the world."

Montag is able to complete his mission to help bring back the books and get rid of the firemen.

Granger said that crying is easier for those whose lost loved ones have passed down something, or the memories that can hold something special to them. He tries to go into explanation that people do not cry for the person but moreover the things they did with them and the things that they did in general.

pg's. 149-151

Granger's simpler idea will help make people remember books more easily and help them go unnoticed through out the firemen society.

Granger said after that "My grandfathers been dead for all these years, but if you lifted my skull, by god, in the convolutions you would find the big ridges of his thumb print. He touched me."

Right before the bomb hits, Montag said that he remembered where they met, which was in Chigaco.

The bomb hit Montag's city and Montag orays for his friends/family to get out of there, or not be in the city.

He also says "...We'll build the biggest goddam steamshovel in history and dig the biggest grave of all time and shover war in and cover it up."
