Comma splice - joining two sentences together using a comma, which should not be done.

Jargon - special words or expressions used by a profession or group that are difficult for others to understand

Annotate - to add notes or explanations to a text relating to a particular question or area of focus.

PETER paragraphs - Make a clear Point, then provide some Evidence for that point using appropriate English Terminology. You then need to Explain why the point you have made is true or relevant, before Relating your paragraph to your argument, the question, or your next paragraph.
