Blocking or disrupting the lanes of others, in swimming is discouraged as it is considered unsportsmanlike to swim slowly in a fast lane or to abruptly stop in the middle of a lane, as it can interfere with other swimmers' pacing and focus. Swimmers are expected to respect the flow of the pool, allowing others to pass or maintain their rhythm, and to always be aware of their surroundings to ensure safety and courtesy.

https://www.swim-central.uk/what-is-lane-swimming-and-what-are-the-rules/

Pulling on the ropes in swimming

The unwritten rule of pulling on the ropes in swimming refers to the expectation that swimmers should avoid grabbing or pulling on the lane ropes while swimming. Lane ropes are meant to separate lanes and reduce water turbulence, not as something to hold onto. Grabbing or tugging on them, whether to steady yourself or gain an advantage, is considered unsportsmanlike and disruptive to the flow of the race or practice. Swimmers are expected to maintain control and swim without relying on the ropes for support.

https://www.simplyswim.com/blogs/blog/laws-of-the-lane-swimming?srsltid=AfmBOorjpXoQF_PlkZEy9cG6LgL883nSH2XxmFjPIAxJ7thoUajSjrpF

Missing the shuttlecock

Missing the shuttlecock on serve is an unwritten rule in badminton that refers to the situation where a player intentionally lets the shuttlecock miss or fumble during their serve, usually to disrupt the opponent’s rhythm or to reset the point. While it is not against the official rules, it’s considered unsportsmanlike and frowned upon. Most players expect that serves are executed properly, and repeatedly missing the shuttlecock on purpose can be seen as a tactic to slow down the game or gain a psychological advantage.

https://www.badmintonbible.com/rules/faults
