It`s hard work I mean like reading Spanish words, cleaning, gardening, sorting, so much work for the Indian me. I don`t think I would like the Spanish people.

It's very hard work. They have very peaceful calm music. I feel sad for them. Planting is fun and it feels good once you finish sorting the beans , but it pays off. It's hard learning Spanish. I would be super mad at the Spanish.

I think they were expected to plant seeds, sort beans, clean up stuff and do dirty stuff,try to speak Spanish,and spend time/talk with god. Even though it's hard they still need to do it. I think it is VERY HARD!

I think that the American Indians had to work very hard. All the time, 24\7. And I think that it was very important for American Indians to still have God and always worship him. Some attacks made from American Indians were forced to [leave the Spanish and TX missions.

Spanish priests were called Padres.I would have not liked to be an Indian because they have a hard life living!I learned that the Indians had to give up everything that they had!

Now that I have experienced that, it seems like a very hard job for anyone for any of the jobs. But if pays off for a very good Christian life. With that it is really hard because you have to move to new religion and new ways of living. And with the Spaniards on your hunting grounds, it's hard to hunt on hunting
grounds with somebody on your hunting grounds.

Padres lived and worked at missions.
I changed my attitude about cleaning now, but definetly think they do not like cleaning. I think it was very important to speak spanish so they can translate. When I was shaving the potato I felt a little grossed out but it was fun. I don't think I would like planting but the STAITION was fun.

Mist missions were guarded by 2 padres. One was in charge of all the business and the other was in charge of the teaching and all the religious things.

Now that I have experienced being a American Indian I could understand there hard work and how we should appreciate them. They had to live VERY differently from us now they had to do everything by hand.Some facts that I learned were that were that priest were part of the missions teaching American Indians christianity.

It was VERY hard to live like an Indian. It was very hard work and I just feel bad for them and I think that the Spaniards were very mean and rude. I also think that the Indians should be free to do whatever they want and live their own ways.
