1. Past tense - that's what makes it a recount.
2. Chronological order - recounts are meant to immerse you in a real life experience and time travel isn't yet possible.
3. Descriptive language - no one wants to know how Mr. Mac cooks his lasagna if it's not interesting.
4. Paragraphs - Would you rather eat a pizza in slices or all at once?
5. 1st/3rd person - again, recounts are immersive.
6. HWWWW - As Dr. Seuss would say "Always grab the reader by the throat in the first sentence."

Past Tense - It has to be in the past

Chronological Order - Order of events first then that then that...

W,W,W,W,H - Who What When Where How

Time Connectives - Then, After, Meanwhile, Before...

1st/3rd Person - Me and my friends, (Person) and his friends...

Meaty Bit/Detail - Give them the detail.

Focus on a specific part - E.G Specific Water-slide.

Only include important things - Don't write : I did this, then that, then that, then that, then that......

3/4 Paragraphs - Include detail over 3/4 Paragraphs

1. Chronological order, Everything has to be in order because It wouldn't make sense if you said I got an ice cream, before that I went surfing

3. Important details but descriptive language, Don't write stuff that no one cares about but keep them hooked by using descriptive language

Time connectives- to help the reader to get a sense of time and to help the reader
Detail- other wise the reader will just get bored and not read it.
Chronological order- It will not make scene if you have dinner before breakfast.
1st and 3rd person- I, me, myself for first person
Needs to have at least 3 paragraphs- other wise its just to short to feel engaged.

In Chronilogical order (must be). Exciting, detail. Gems=Similes, alliterations, metophors, hyperboles and many more. Time connectives like, then, because, after and before. Talk about the main activity not the things, (I got out of the pool to get a drink of water.) Make sure it makes sence. Past tence always past tence. 1st and 3rd person.

6 Final Paragraph Brings Reader back. In the last paragraph you need to summarize.

7 Hook. You need a Hook so you grab the readers attention.
