(PHASE 1- DREAM)The first thing our group did was to divide the work and to organise the different topics we could talk about. We made the division of work without problems. Carlota will work in Social news. Federico shall work in traffic, tourism and environmental news. Mercedes will specialize in Security news

( murders, abductions, terrorism, etc… ). Carlos will work in Politics-Economy-Corruption News. We have created this beautiful Padlet to write about our journey through this project! 

We also decided that Federico Lucas will be the team reporter. Carlota Pinto will be the team researcher and  Mercedes Muguiro will be the organiser. Carlos del Burgo will be the team leader. 

Recently, a meeting was summoned with with all the stakeholders to bring together the work and studies. Something was determined, to have everything ready for December of 2017, with the idea of starting the proyect at the beginning of 2018.

The worst day, as deaths goes was saturday 1th of October, followed by Sunday and then Friday.

Five of the deceased were riding on motorbikes, seven of all the accidents caused by collisions, one leaving the exit and a last one, because of roadkill.

The DGT is taking special preventive measures because of these accidents, as well as the 971 deceased in traffic accidents last year.

Around 100 people lose their lives on this journey, which represents a 7,3% of all car accident deaths last year. Being in a hurry, an excessive confidence and tiredness play a major role.

Each year more than 90 thousand accidents happen in Spain. 60% of all accidents, not necessarily deadly, that happen on our highways happen on the round trip to work.

Data shows us the number of accidents to and from work now have increased 10% since the year 2002.

Spanish people have more traffic accidents going to work (64%) than coming back home, as the driver is more relaxed. Most accidents happen on Mondays and the probability of having accidents decreases as the week goes by. Most accidents occur between 7 and 9 o’clock in the morning and from 2 to 3 in the evening.

The DGT blames most of these accidents to the use of mobile phones.

It does not depend on the management of the Spanish Socialist Party that the elections are repeated, because the federal committee has the responsibility to decide that. Javier Fernández, the president  of the management institution of the Spanish Socialist Party  has assured Mariano Rajoy, the President-In-Office, that they will not give stability to the Popular Party’s government. The communication channels between Mariano Rajoy and Javier Fernández are open and are being effective. The federal committee will meet a weekend before the date in which new elections will be celebrated, and the socialist party will have to decide between two difficult options: The first option consists in avoiding a Popular Party’s government, although the consequence would be new elections, the third ones in only a year. The second option is to abstain and to allow the PP to govern with a minority. The Spanish Socialist Party may or may not abstain before the investiture but in no event will guarantee stability; as it must be achieved by negotiating every day. The members of the socialist party are strongly divided, and the ghost of ungovernability still lives in our country. However, we have more political information to offer you, because the parliament of Catalonia decided in September to call for a referendum asking for independence from Spain for 2017.

The Catalan Parliament adopted two other resolutions that open the way for a referendum on independence, despite contrary statements and warnings of the Constitutional Court. The independentist majority ( Junts pel Sí and CUP ) endorsed a commitment to hold the consultation in September 2017 that the president of Catalonia, Carles Puigdemont, made the week before. But the great victory of the Catalan president was the second resolution: the confluence of the left ( Cataluña si que es Pot ) defended the referendum omitting explicit reference to the need for agreement with the Spanish state. The Socialist Party, the Popular Party and the Citizenship party ( Citizens ) refused to vote, as the voting was considered illegal.

The defendants in the Caja Madrid  “Black” Credit Card scandal and in the Gürtel trial try to defend themselves and avoid prison. Carlos Navarro, attorney for the alleged mastermind of the organization, the businessman Francisco Correa, has renounced to declare issues of invalidity of the cause, as did much of the rest of the lawyers who intervened. The defense chief defendant explained that the objective of this is offering "goodwill gestures" to mitigate a potential  sentence. At this moment, the prosecution is demanding 125 years and one month in prison for Francisco Correa. There are 37 more accused in the Gürtel trial, which is related to the illegal financing of the Popular Party. In the other important trial taking place at the moment, the former Vice President of Spain and Economy Minister Rodrigo Rato explained in court that the credit cards given to him in Caja Madrid which the National Court is investigating  constituted "a perfectly legal incentive" and standard practice. When he received his credit card, he understood that it was a form of payment for the governing bodies and the steering committee, and that it was perfectly legal. He has avoided to give his opinion on the system that “is not good or bad to him but is used in more banks in Spain."

The International Monetary Fund has improved the economic forecast for Spain. The IMF has risen the GDP growth forecast for Spain by five points, with respect to the one that had been previously estimated in July, leaving it at 3.1%. Spain is for the second consecutive year the fastest growing economy out of industrialized countries. The reduction of unemployment next year will be less than 2 points: going from 19.7% to 18%. In 2017 Spanish GDP growth will experience a sharp slowdown to 2.2%. And now (dramatic pause ), the crime news.

Resources against Primary, ESO and A levels final exams get together to cut down the study hours dedicated to religious studies.

At the end of this school year (2016-2017) these final exams should be applied and the majority of communities ungoverned by the PP have already prepared several resources against this measure.

Aragon is the only community which has submitted before the Supreme Court an administrative appeal against this exams. Moreover, Cantabria, Balearic Islands, Canary Islands and Castile-La Mancha have approved in their respective government councils the lodging of appeals while Asturias, Andalusia, Valencia and Catalonia have announced they will. Navarra is waiting to see what happens with the future central Government and the Basque Country has recently approved a decree which does not refer to these final exams but only to an  "individualized test" based on "continuous assessment".

On the other hand, the Church, parents’ associations and trade unions of eight communities have protested before the courts against the cutbacks in the Religion subject schedules. Up to now, justice is in favour of Andalusia, Aragon, Asturias and Balearic Islands Church claims.

Every year there are between 2000 and 3000 deaths because of the flu, but this number could be reduced by half with a correct and and extensive implementation of the flu vaccine.

The flu is a respiratory disease usually of viral origin and, although in most cases it takes between one or two weeks to fully recover without taking any specific medication, it could be detrimental among very young children, the elderly, people suffering from a serious illness or patients with chronic respiratory diseases.

Francisco Javier García, a distinguished lung specialist, has stressed that this flu vaccine is essential in order to reduce any serious problems which could easily appear due to this common illness.

Spanish teachers are the responsible for the significant increase of new technologies but  experts are highlighting the risks.

There is an increasing consensus among teachers, experts and educational institutions, who establish that cellphones can be understood as a good way of working. In other words, they can be used in schools to teach the students alongside books, whiteboards and films.

Almost all the students in a Madrid high school, Cervantes High School, have their own cellphone, a trend that only increases with age.

“Phones are part of our everyday life and we have to make sure they are our allies,” says Mar Camacho, a researcher in educational technology at Tarragona's Rovira i Virgili University.

Camacho believes some concepts can be better explained with a cellphone. But phones, tablets and computers are only tools, he says, and he warns that people who “promote the use of tablets in class to attract students' attention are only blowing smoke”.

Spanish police confirm: Brazilian family was hacked to death by a nephew,  A nephew of the family killed in Pioz is the alleged perpetrator of the brutal crime last 18 of sep. A 30 year old brazilian marriage and their two sons (four and one year old) were beheaded.

At first, the police assumed that it could be a matter of drug dealers.

Investigative sources yesterday confirmed that it is "a passional crime" committed by the nephew of the father of this young family. Allegedly, "it was a kind of violent and unstable character" who was obsessed with Janaína, his aunt. 

His name is Patrick Nogueira Gouveira. He’s 20 and he took a flight to Brazil from Madrid two days later after the murder.

In this tutorial we have learned  how to use the editing tools in the touchcast studio. Firstly, it is necessary to tap the backtrack feature. This will lead you to many features such as my projects, adding vApps to clip, add media into a clip, how to cut and trim a clip, how to use transitions.

Image zoom and move

In this tutorial we have learned how to zoom and move and image. First, to zoom in on an image vApp you must tap the image and zoom in. Other benefits are that you can move the image around.

Transitions

The first step on how to use a transition is to choose the project you would like to work on. Below you can notice that there is a button that when tapped shows the efeccts that can be used to transition between the two clips. Some of the are: cross fade, fade through white, fade through black...

The project had positive things. The idea of a news room was very original and something completely different to what we had done before. Apart from that fact, we also had the oportunity to work in something which was not studying for an exam ( because that is what we do the 95 % of the time for other subjects ), and I think that is also positive for our education.

However, the project had also it`s shadows. If you want to do something propperly, you must dedicate a lot of time, and this year we have to study a lot because it is decisive for our future ( because marks count for the average, we have the Selectividad, and so... ). Moreover, it is very complex to organise everything ( due dates, padlet entries, group organisation ) and to record everything, then editing it and putting it together, etc...

My personal belief is that the original idea is not bad, but some things should be changed so that the propper execution of the project can be achieved ( making it easier and less time consuming ). A solution to this could be moving it to first of Bachillerato or to ESO, as they would be less stressed and could do something better.
