The small seaside township of Aramoana, near Dunedin, was the scene of what was then the deadliest mass murder in New Zealand history. A 33 year old man called David gray, got very angry at a man and his daughter. David gray shot at them, then started shooting at everything that moved, killing 13 people and harming one person. The next day they found gray at a careful house by house search. When gray found out that the anti terrorist squad firing a semi automatic gun at them. The anti terrorist squad shot at him and mortally wounded David Gray.
