         <title>Writing Conference Tips</title>

         <description><![CDATA[<div><br>1.) Give students a checklist of thinks to look for during their editing stage.<br><br></div><div><br>2.) If a child is stuck on how to spell a word, write it for them on a sticky note.<br><br></div><div><br>3.) Keep anecdotal and mental notes on how the student is doing during their writing.<br><br></div><div><br>4.) It's about the process of writing, not exactly about the finished product. We need to encourage students to free-write.<br><br></div><div><br>5.) If students struggle with the focus of their writing we can remind them to ask themselves this question, " What 's the thing I really want to say about my subject to my readers?".<br><br></div>]]></description>
