I chose this list of movies because I know the yew tree likes trees. All of these movies have a lot of trees in the or about trees which would keep his interest. Some of the trees in the movies are scary and some are nice and helpful. The Yew tree would enjoy the variety of these movies.

Conor: "I'm afraid". 
Monster: "Of course you are afraid, but you will make it through for this is why you called me. Come on".

This quote reminds me of some of the movies the monster likes. The monster likes to watch TV.  The Birch is about a scary Birch tree which he doesn't want to watch too much of.  He would rather watch Stranger Things.  This show is also scary but has a lot of excitement and good parts too.  Monsters is an older show with some funny looking monsters on it.  It is not as scary as his other two favorite shows. 

Monster: "What shall I destroy next"?
Conor: "Break the windows!"
Monster: "Break them yourself".

- Almond blossom 

The monster likes art work with trees and scenery.  Starry nights are peaceful.  Almond blossoms don't grow near him so he looks at the picture to try and imagine what it would be like.  

Monster: "I know everything about you, the truth that you hide, the truth you dream".

The monsters favorite books are all good ones to read.  The Giving Tree is a favorite to a lot of people and has a good meaning.  The Hidden life of Trees helps him get good ideas to play hide and seek and the Maple Tree Monster is one of his favorites because he loves maple syrup on his pancakes.  

Monster: “I will tell you 3 stories and you will tell me the 4th. You will tell me your nightmare.” 

This quote reminds me of reading the monsters favorite books. The Yew tree likes to cheer for the Timberwolves because they have timber in their name.  Teams that play for Stanford represent a tree which makes him happy that he is represented.  

Monster: "With a boy too old to be a kid, too young to be a man".
