I have currently completed 118 hours of my 150 hours.

During my placement I have worked with other people who are either on work placement or are just volunteering. Because I have been there longer than some other volunteers the staff trust me enough o help other people who are just starting out and I think that because I'm on an animal management course they trust me enough to work with the animals on my own. 

I have worked with the cats more often than the rest of the animals as there are considerably more cats than dogs, so they need cleaning out often and feeding. 

The tasks I have been completing are walking the dogs, cleaning the cats out and just giving them attention. 

I feel like I have achieved some valuable lessons while at my work placement as I now know how to correctly clean and feed certain animals. 

I am enjoying my work placement much more than I thought I would as I wasn’t sure what kind of work I would be doing but I really enjoying walking the dogs and helping out with the cats.
