Hello from Barcelona! My name is Jose and I am an EPALE ambassador from Spain. I'm a secondary education teacher, but I've been teaching adults for 13 years.

Currently, I am the head of the Adult Education Unit of the Department of Education in Catalonia. Our unit manages 166 public adult schools with nearly 1.500 teaching professionals on staff. 9 of these schools are located in penitentiary facilities. Nearly 75.000 students enrol every year in one of our schools.

We manage and process agreements and subsidies with different institutions and associations dealing with adult education. We also design the curricula of the different courses we have, as well as training courses for teachers who work in adult education schools.

Hello I am Amanda Brincat from Jobsplus Malta. I am a Principal Executive within the Training Services Unit. I started off as a Senior Executive within the EU Affairs Department, where I used to analyse EU documentation, write detailed position papers on Malta’s achievements, represent Jobsplus during high profile fora and conduct research on labour market policies.

Then I joined the Training Design and Quality Assurance Unit. As a Senior Executive, I was responsible for leading this section that was tasked with designing new courses and monitoring of the training delivery. Hello!
I am an English language and literature teacher and Master of Arts in English Philology. For thirteen years now I have been an active part of formal and informal education as a teacher or teaching assistant in the subjects of English language, English literature and Applied Linguistics, as well as a participant in numerous workshops, seminars, webinars and conferences related to my field of studies and work.
Formally, I teach and learn every day. Informally, we all teach and learn every day. That is why the only learning we can talk about is life-long learning and our task as educators is to provide a quality learning and thus quality life for everyone. EPALE community is a great place to start building such life. It is a community where everyone is welcome to share their story.

As someone who belongs to a culture which cherishes storytelling above all, I am more than proud to be its member and privileged to be its ambassador.

My message is always the same: Keep learning; Keep growing; Together; No matter what.
