One of the most important lessons is the fact that Muslims had to go through such hard obstacles back in the days, just like Bilal ibn Rabah.    
After the lesson, I think to myself that even when they had such difficulties, their faith doesn't waver. During school days, we only learned the basics of practicing Islam.
