Technology opens up new ways to learning. Technology increases engagement for a lot of students and it helps them better understand the topic.  Part of learning in the 21st Century helps with tech skills as well.

Even though communication is done with technology, through texts and emails, being able to have a good academic conversation for learning is a really good communication skill.

Phones are the most common form of technology in today's world. Successful students are going to need to understand how to use phones for their learning instead of using them to take away from their learning.

What made him interested in teaching? When he went to college he was a Business Major, then he thought about becoming going into Criminal Justice to become a cop. However, he changed his mind about teaching after he coached a 5th grade basketball team. Working with the kids got him interested.

Mr. Johnson always plans on being a basketball coach and a teacher. He enjoys both equally.
