It was very interesting reading your reflection about Interlanguage. You covered the main aspects that deal with this approach. 

I would like to highlight the word "related" that you used when describing when learners create an interlanguage, and also the attribute that interlanguage has as the possibility of linking the two languages L1 and L2. 

Another aspect that I liked from your reflection is the benefit of the development of a good learning environment among students and their learning process.

Systematic: every learner has his/her own grammar system when learning a language.
Dynamic: The learner's grammar fluctuates and as a result, there are a number of tentative grammar.
Variable: There are different language patterns depending on the context.
Reduced system: Less difficult grammar structures compared to the target language rules.

2. What is interlanguage?

Interlanguage is the in-between language system a language learner uses as the transition way to acquire a second language. The interlanguage is like the foundation that must be laid first in the construction or development of a target language. (In the jargon, it is sometimes called Spanglish, when someone whose first language is Spanish and he/she is learning English. An example of this is the word "farmero" from farmer in English and the ending of Granjero in Spanish)

3. What factors have been accepted as significant in the formation of interlanguage?

There are several significant factors in the formation of interlanguage as follow:

·         Social Aspects: linguistic forms as they need to be correct, fossilization, emphasizes the relationship between social context. 
·         Discourse Aspects: it deals with input and interaction, environment input, and the brain's ability to learn the language.
·         Psycholinguistic Aspects: this considers the mental process a learner follows when acquiring or learning a second language and it deals with the influence of L1 in L2 (Transfer), and the consciousness or awareness a learner has about the linguistic characteristics of the target language (The Role of Consciousness in L2 Acquisition). 
·         Linguistic Aspects: The impact of L1 on the development of the target language. 

4. When do learners create interlanguage?

During the “language transfer process” in second language learning, students create interlanguage, using their first language for creating their own system.

6. The ways in which teachers benefit from knowing about interlanguage

When a teacher knows about interlanguages, he/she realizes the main role feedback or correction has during learning or acquiring a second language. 

The teacher knows when or when it is not the moment or the exact situation to intervene. 

The teacher who knows about interlanguage also realizes that it is a part of the acquisition or instructional process of a second o foreign language.

 Psycholinguistic Aspects of Interlanguage: is the study of the mental structures that a learner create during the process of the acquisition and use of language. this field studies the problem caused by the L1 transfer and the role of consciousness.
Linguistic Aspects of Interlanguage: show how the L1 can impact the development of the L2 or target language.
4. when do learners create interlanguage?
learners create interlanguage in the middle of the learning process (intermediate state) where the learners develop a system (IL) using the language transfer process from their L1 to the L2 or target language.
5. Attributes of interlanguage
The attribute of the interlanguage is that it is a system that allows students to create their own structures in order to reach the target language, but during this process, the student can make errors, errors that if not addressed in time can become fossilized knowledge or stop the learning process, but if you manage to solve these problems, the student can achieve the acquisition of a second language.
6. the ways in which teachers benefit from knowing about interlanguage.
it can help teachers to:
a. think about the students' goals in relation with learn a new language.
b. establish priorities in relation to students' goals
c. understand students' strengths and limitations
d. Adopt the learning/teaching process with real context.
e. recognize what is the correct moment for correcting students' errors and mistakes.
