One of my most memorable experiences during the pandemic vaccination was getting my own vaccination shot. It was a surreal feeling to finally receive a dose of hope after months of uncertainty and fear. I remember feeling a sense of gratitude towards the healthcare workers who were administering the vaccines. To get through the vaccination process, I made sure to stay informed about the vaccine and its side effects. I also followed safety protocols such as wearing a mask and practicing social distancing. Most importantly, I leaned on my support system of family and friends to stay positive and hopeful during these challenging times.

- De Guzman, JK
10 - archimedes

The was one of the happiest days with my family.
- Syd

Covid 19 brought changes in our lives.

During Covid-19 pandemic, me and my family stayed at home until we got our vaccine shot so that when we go outside for fun, we feel safe and protected. Before I got my vaccine shot, I was dying of boredom. I can't go outside for fun, but it's fine because it is also for my own safety. During these times, I always watch volleyball games on the internet, playing video games, sketching, answering my modules, cooking and I even learned how to solve a Rubik's cube. These activities drives away anxiety and boredom of being at home for two years.

We should protect ourselves from Covid 19 virus.

My most memorable experience during the pandemic is when my family was far away. I spent my summer at my dad's aunt's house but then the pandemic started. I'm 13 years old when the covid-19 started, that time when i realized how it feels when yur family is far away from you. I celebrate my birthday without them because the lockdown has started that time. That's my first time I celebrate my birthday without them. That time when I was far away to them. I have so many experience about what are the feels if your family is far away. I'm sad everyday because it's my first time I've been without them in many months, celebrate without them. But my father made a wayto get me back to our house because I'd like to see them. But that time the lockdown is still going on. Finally in many months i met my family.

The whole two years of staying at home and not being able to go out was like the most frustrating happening I've ever been into. During those days that there are lots of protocols and rules that need to be followed, was like hell. It feels like going out, and having the best time of your life was a sin because the whole country is currently experiencing crisis and me, having fun, makes me feel guilty. But, during those times, a lot of lessons came up out of nowhere. That whole vacation teached me how to do things independently, and how to enjoy the small things and appreciate those. The whole two years of me staying at home feels so suffocating but also, enjoyable. I learned how to be independent, how small things really do matter, and how to manage my time.

During the pandemic, people often say that it was pure hell without looking at the positive side. That long vacation was a blessing in disguise, as we had the chance to learn, rest, enjoy, have time for ourselves and family, and lastly, to have time for God. It was the most frustrating vacation everyone had, but it was also everyone's favorite.

I can say about COVID-19 Pandemic is one of the most dangerous challenges this world has faced in our lifetime. It is above all a human crisis with severe health and socio-economic consequences.

COVID-19 impact to my life as a student considerable amount of school-aged students also witnessed family members fearing that they or someone they love might be in danger of serious illness or death. School closures also caused students to experience a prolonged state of physical isolation from their friends, teachers, and family members. The most challenging situation I have encountered during this time of pandemic is Social isolation is one of the biggest mental health challenges we are facing with this crisis. Many people are living alone or away from their support systems, which are usually essential wellbeing boosters in a time of crisis. I feel during pandemic many people may have mental health concerns, such as symptoms of anxiety and depression during this time. And feelings may change over time. Despite your best efforts, you may find yourself feeling helpless, sad, angry, irritable, hopeless, anxious or afraid. For some people, distance learning can be stressful and boring, but overall my experience with distance learning has been really good.

COVID-19 Pandemic has changed the world is altering the lives of children especially the most impoverished to a catastrophic extent. Children already left behind will likely bear the brunt of the pandemic's impact, whether through missing out on life-saving vaccinations, increased risk of violence, or interrupted education.

Now that 12 to 15 year olds can get the COVID vaccine, a lot of people are wondering whether or not they should get it. For me, it was an easy decision. My parents have been vaccinated for a while, and truthfully I was jealous, because they didn’t have to worry about getting sick any more. One of our family members died from COVID last year so we were always really careful about trying to prevent getting the virus.

Once the mask mandate got lifted, my parents could go into places without masks, but my brother and I still didn’t feel completely comfortable with that. So, when our Barangay announced that 12-15 year olds could get vaccinated, I was excited, but a little scared because I didn’t know anyone my age who had got it yet. I waited about a month to get my vaccine just to hear from other people I knew, and what they had to say about it. The good news is that everyone I knew said it was no big deal.

Neither of my parents or any of my grandparents had serious side effects after their vaccines, so I was pretty comfortable with the idea of getting it even while I waited for more young people to get theirs.

Getting the shot was a little scary, because I wasn’t sure how it would affect me. Although I don’t like shots, I am fine getting them as long as I don’t look right at them. It went really fast and felt just like a normal flu shot.

Immediately after the shot I didn’t feel any side effects and went home, ate dinner and went to bed with no issues. The next day my arm was really sore and I had a slight headache, but those were the only two symptoms that I had. Later that night, my headache got a little worse, but felt better when I woke up the next morning.

My advice for other teens thinking about getting the shot is to just do it. It was a big relief for me and my family.

What started as one-week class suspension, ended up to seemingly unending community quarantine. I never really thought that the first week of March 2020 would be the last time I'll be at school this year. When the suspension was extended and later turned in to a community quarantine, I thought that it would only last for more or less than three months.

The world suddenly feels paralyzed in a suspenseful state of anticipation of the dreaded future. It's eerily quiet, with almost no one is outside out and about, the only sounds that can be heard are the occasional birds chirping, the soft drops of the spring rain, and the wind whistling through the trees. Despite the crystal clears blue skies from the lack of traffic, the future couldn't be more obfuscated and befogged as everyone waits anxiously in isolation hoping for the pandemic to pass.

At the first few months of community quarantine, we were not allowed to go out unless we had a quarantine pass. On those days, I started doing things I have never done before to make use of my time. First, I started painting. Before the pandemic, I never had the energy or time to do things other than studying and that includes painting. But because of the quarantine, I was able to try a bunch of new things and try new hobbies . I also learned to love reading fictional e-books or whatever they call that anime, psychology, horror, and self-help books. It was really out of boredom that I started reading mangas, then after a while, I started to enjoy reading it until I finished. It was the first fiction e-book that I read. Then I started reading other e-books, like that of Jujutsu Kaisen, Demon Slayer, and others. Reading books online is more convenient for me since i didn't have to risk my health going outside to rent or borrow a book from a local library. I never really thought that I would be able to read such since I'm a big fan of fiction. But after all, people really do change. And just recently, I find myself listening and loving music. Being able to acquire or develop new skills and do bunch of things i couldn 't before the pandemic was my most memorable experience during this Covid-19 pandemic.

It was definitely mixed feelings at first. It was relief with some hesitance,

My family and I traditionally do not partake in getting vaccines. There is a lot to why this is, but mainly because vaccine hesitancy has been a generational pass down to all of us from our elders who had vaccine hesitancy due to a mistrust of governmental vaccines. But of course, we all have to be patient and strong until we all make it through this pandemic together.

As much as I hope that the vaccine protects me physically, I am still very much trying to abide by all the basic hygiene and safety measures that COVID taught us. So, I decided to get vaccinated and feel it was the best choice for my family.

And me getting vaccinated is hopefully providing my whole family with some reassurance.

The nurse who administered my vaccine was as nice as they come, and I didn’t feel much when the vaccine was given to me. As the night progressed and early the next day, I had some body aches and felt a little fatigued. I am currently firing on all cylinders and I’m feeling much more optimistic than before I was vaccinated. While most look at the following symptoms as side effects of the vaccine, I look at them as our immune response to the vaccine: sore arm, headache, chills, tiredness, feeling sick, fever, dizziness, weakness and aching muscles.

I am definitely feeling much more at peace after getting vaccinated.

Covid 19, Covid Vaccine and My Memorable Experience

COVID-19 is a highly infectious disease caused by the SARS-CoV-2 virus. Vaccines are effective in preventing severe illness, hospitalization, and death. The COVID-19 vaccines have undergone rigorous testing and have been approved by regulatory agencies. Despite the availability of vaccines, it is important to continue following public health guidelines.

In my experience, before I was
getting vaccinated, I felt the
nervousness seeing other people
getting vaccinated because I have
been saying "What if's" and overthink
alot. However, the fearness and
nervousness soon left me. I have my
sisters and friends with me always
making jokes just to comfort me
because I'm really scared of
injections. But then, when it's my turn
getting vaccinated. I closed my eyes
and I thought it would be really hurt.
Since then, i felt nothing happened.

In conclusion, if you are scared of the
COVID-19 vaccine, it is
understandable, but the benefits of
vaccination in preventing severe
illness, hospitalization, and death far
outweigh the risks. I urge you to
speak to a healthcare professional,
get reliable information, and make an
informed decision to protect yourself,
your loved ones, and your community
from this deadly virus despite of the
fear for injections.

COVID-19 has been hard on all of us, and getting used to a new way of living does come with its challenges. The global pandemic has affected everyone to an extent that we have had to change our lifestyles due to this situation. It was quite difficult for me to adjust to the situation, however, the fact that I enjoy overcoming challenges helped me overcome the various struggles I had to face due to the change in our lifestyles.

Life was difficult during the pandemic because our parents were both working and I was the one who had to take care of my brother because there was no one else to take care of him when they worked. I coped with being a homeschooler and being a babysitter for my 2yr old baby sister. I did time management to finish my tasks both babysitter and student. I take care of my lilsister every morning to afternoon and at night I do answer the moduls to pass it on time.

Personally, with the lockdown and the occupational problems facing the people in my country, online classes helped me to study efficiently and further help my family during the crisis by making them not worry about missing classes or my safety being endangered while having to travel. The online classes were also a great experience, because the teachers were fully prepared with great presentation slides, quizzes, and worksheets, and also helped students to socialize by creating breakout rooms for group work on Zoom.

My dad still worked and my grandma and grandpa. We had to stay in doors. Also we had to go virtual learning. And stay in doors we also had to wear masks. We also had to wear masks everywhere we went and it was very rarely that we went somewhere. Even church changed when we used to go to church every Sunday. Church stopped happening and when we went to go eat out every Sunday after church that changed as well. - Arianna J Brieno

As the pandemic is somewhat under control, the spread of the virus has slowed down. We’re now living in the new norm. We no longer view things the same, the way we did before. Large gatherings and activities that require large groups to come together are now unimaginable! Distanced learning is what we know, not to mention the importance of social distancing and having to wear masks anywhere and everywhere we go. This is the new norm now and who knows when and if ever we’ll be able go back to what we knew before. This whole experience has made me realize that we, as humans, tend to take things for granted and don’t value what we have until it is taken away from us.
I got my first dose of the vaccine in mid-November and the second dose three weeks later. I had a bit of arm soreness where I got the shot, which started about 24 hours after receiving it. When I got the second dose of the vaccine, I experienced more arm soreness, but that was all. It came on a little quicker than with the first dose, and it was still fairly sore for the next 24 to 48 hours. It’s been about two weeks since getting my second dose, and I feel fine.
The COVID-19 pandemic made me realize and experience lots of things. Staying at home all day made me recognize the amount of free time I have in my hands. I used my spare time to do productive things, like sweeping the floor, watering the plants, rearranging my room and many more. I had also experienced the feeling of sadness for I miss the good old days when I was still enjoying my school life with my classmates. Over all, I think this pandemic made me grasp lots of things and mold myself to be more mature.

But when days and weeks passed by i feel like getting bored staying at home. Always at home answering those modules and playing games and more. Sometimes I get distracted on answering modules by social medias and games. Not until I started getting low grades. I feel like I can’t concentrate studying at home because of distractions. For me, homeschooling is not for me. I always got that daily routine: waking, eating, answering modules, playing, eating and sleep. COVID-19 days was hard and good to me as the same time because i met a lot of friends online and made some memories together, so for me pandemic wasn’t so bad at all

The 2020 covid pandemic was an unforgettable experience and I think that speaks for everyone else. A deadly disease going around is nothing to be excited about, but there were so many entertaining activities people were creating as trends. One of the most memorable experiences was indoor camping; indoor camping was an activity almost all people could do just with the materials of their own home. All you need is some chairs and a bunch of blankets, the taller the chair the bigger the tent was. It takes no more than just putting blankets on the chairs and leaving a hole to play as an entrance. There were and still are so many people doing this and making it more and more creative each time, my siblings and I loved this fun, at home and easy activity. We made it special, making it so big my whole family could fit, and we also brought snacks and drinks with us for on the laptop we had to watch movies. This was such a wholesome experience my family loved trying out and totally would do it again.
~Ava N. (USA)

I couldn't really understand my feelings during the pandemic because it brought both learnings and a struggle to me. The learnings I got was spending more time with your family and mostly about myself. I had discovered some aspects about me. I had plenty of time to think at home, there were also realizations of my past actions and happenings before the pandemic. As for the struggle, I struggled adjusting with the new learning system/ online classes. I didn't get to learn the way I wanted to and it was hard for me.

The COVID-19 made changes in the world. Now a days you can't leave without a facemask on or bringing a hand sanitary because we're not sure if the surrounding you've been to is safe, concern about the risk of getting infected by the said virus.

Jam Antonio
10 - Archimedes

In 2019, a new coronavirus was identified as the cause of a disease outbreak that originated in China. We all know the effects the pandemic had on the world economy as well as how people function in society. Without a doubt, the pandemic has caused difficulties for everyone, affecting their lifestyles, work, school and how they interact with others. During those day i really have many struggles. I even got pressure in passing my module on time cause i dont have enough time to finish it but it was really a great experience to only stay at home the whole year
-Bernadette C.
What choosing Online Modular Learning instead of Printed Modular Learning did to me

When the COVID-19 and lockdown started, I was not really surprised, rather, I was a bit confused of what was happening around me that time. I was only in my first year of Junior High School, going to my second year, and I was only 11 years old that time so I was a bit clueless of the situation. The Department of Education decided to influenced the education system with the new normal going on. We had to choose between online or printed modular learning. I chose online modular at first, not because I prefer it more like that, but because I want to already have my own phone. Crazy, I know, but what can I do? I was jealous to those kids who already have their own phones at a very young age. When I chose online modular learning instead of printed modular, a crisis happened. I FAILED the first quarter of my second year, you know why? Because I got distracted with social medias and other sorts of online games. I did not get to passed most of my modules to my professors through Messenger because I was sooo busy on my phone and did not even think answering my remaining modules. It was my aunt that got my card, and she said that when she saw it, she was flabbergasted by the fact that some of my subjects do not have grades on it. It was completely blank. Some of it have a grade written in it though, but it was below 80, which I was not used of getting. I was a consistent honor student and acknowledging the fact that I failed my studies, I was really disappointed to myself. I did not even think of showing my dissapointment towards my other relatives because I know to myself that it was my fault. It was because of my own decisions that I failed to focus more on my studies.

When that incident happen, I vowed to myself that I will never let that experience happen again. I decided that I do not want to disappoint myself again, so I decided that I'll focus more with my studies to get back what I lost. I moved to printed modular learning because I know if stay with online learning, I will be distracted again and I don't want that. I started answering and passing my answered modules on time to my professors, even those modules that I did not get to passed to them before. I was really persistent on reclaiming myself back. You can say that I'm a grade-concious person. I worry about my grades a lot, and that incident was something that really took a tool on me. I was depressed because of it. I kept questioning myself why I let that happen when I know to myself that I can do much better. I kept blaming myself about what happened, which I know it was really my fault. Although I was depressed for a while, I started picking myself up again when I realized that I was doing much more better at answering and passing my modules towards my teachers on time. It became my habit to pass it on time. I can say that I have improved when it comes to disciplining myself because instead of using my mobile gadget excessively, I only used it to search for words that I do not understand at all, sometimes for answers. I was proud of myself for regaining myself back, but that time it was not to satisfy the people around me, it was to satisfy my own self of the achievements that I have reached without the pressure of anyone around me but only me. I can say I'm a hypocrite. I was a people pleaser before, so it was really nice to not seem to please them anymore and just do it for myself and not for anybody. I also have goals and dreams I want to achieve, and being concern of other people's opinions will not help me achieve them. I wanted myself to be free from people's shackles around me, that is why I tried so hard to change myself into a girl that will stand up for herself when being looked down by people who do not even know her. I know it will sound mean and kind of disrespectful to the person reading this, but this is who I am, and I'm not afraid to broadcast it to the whole world if I'm given the chance to.

That incident made me experienced different kinds of emotions. I felt sad, dissapointment, anger, humiliation, and something that I couldn't exactly point out but it felt horrible. It took me months to finally free myself from those emotions because regaining yourself takes time, as well as changing, but it was still worth it end the end. I learned how to not concern myself to what people think of me, and also to stand up for myself if ever someone paint me as low in their eyes. I learned how to operate my time much better than what I have before. I also focused on my studies even more because I fear that something like that will happen again if I don't give my studies any of my attention. If you don't want yourself to feel those type of emotions that I mentioned, do not do something that will make you regret of even doing it. If you don't want to disappoint yourself, do something that will satisfy you instead of doing something opposite to it. You are free to decide what you want to do, but make sure that it's a good decision before you decide to go with it. If you don't, there will be consequences that you have to face.

This is what choosing online modular learning instead of printed modular learning did to me, a 15 year old grade 10 student.

Honey Jane L.

This photo was taken on 2021 when we got home after a long day of vaccination. Back when I first got my first dose of the vaccination it was really hard ko raise your hand and it feels so heavy. I was 15 at that time and the vaccination venue is at the Abellana National High school. I can't even understand what I am feeling that day, it is a mix of happiness because finally after a long time of waiting I was finally having my turn to get vaccinated, but also an overcoming fear Ang being nervous because it is my first time and I don't really know what are the effects of the vaccine to my body. But there are professional doctor and nurses that guide us through the process of vaccination, they tells us that after you get the vaccine you must keep away from the foods that can harm you after a vaccination to maintain your bodies health after you get the vaccination, you must rest properly and avoid process foods instead eat healthy foods, and eat also fruits that are not prohibited to be eaten and especially lots of water.Pain, swelling, and redness on the arm where the shot was given. Tiredness. Headache. Are the common symptoms that you will get after the vaccination. When you get vaccinated, your immune system recognizes something as being foreign. The immune system automatically launches a small-scale attack against it. This process teaches your immune cells to recognize and respond to an “invader.” That's why you might experience some side effects like I said earlier. Also covid 19 not only affects me it affects the whole world many citizens has lost their job and many innocent people especially children has died because of this virus. It literally change my life, but other than that we must give thanks to our Frontliners especially our doctor for giving us the cure to help lower down the cases of covid 19.Despite the hardships and health risk, millions of essential Frontliners workers continue to do their jobs during Covid 19 pandemic. These hardworking heroes are keeping us safe, providing us cure for this virus, cares for our safety and health, and keeping us safe often while the virus is so dangerous. Thank u all so much for your extreme work and support through this difficult time.I don't know how our planet would survive without you.You are immensely admire for your humility, kindness and strength. Thank u for being the guiding light in the midst of adversity. I hope all of us will get a better tomorrow.

Kierk Xavier T. Gabucan
Grade 10- Galileo

One of the most memorable experiences in my life during the pandemic was the sudden and drastic changes in daily life. Many people had to adjust to working or studying from home, which required significant changes to routines and work environments. Social distancing measures also meant that people had to limit their interactions with others, which could lead to feelings of isolation and loneliness.

To manage through these challenges, people have found different ways to cope. Some have found comfort in connecting with friends and family through video calls or other virtual means. Others have picked up new hobbies or interests to fill the time and reduce stress. Additionally, many have focused on self-care practices such as meditation, exercise, or journaling to maintain a sense of well-being.

It's important to remember that everyone's experiences during the pandemic have been unique and that there is no "one size fits all" solution for coping. However, by staying connected, staying active, and prioritizing self-care, many people have found ways to manage the challenges and maintain a sense of normalcy during this difficult time.

-John Vincent D.
Gabito
-Grade 10-Galileo

It came to a lockdown as expected just to minimize the spread of the outbreak. And I have realized that there is not much activity to be done since we cannot go outside. The pandemic made me lazy. I feel loneliness to the point I got Depressed by the whole pandemic situation and also because of the pandemic I cannot keep up with the lesson on online class and the activities I usually do. As the pandemic continue. I was reflecting the importance if making myself better and grow. I made sure that I have done something to improve. After that day I started to write stories, poem, and quotes. I also made friends in the internet I am greatful I met them, they change me and help me find what Im capable.
At this point, I am so grateful for having the opportunity to experience these things because it did not only make me help grow as a student but an individual.
My experience during pandemicI I think not quite good because since the virus start spreading everything change and one of that is our education my/our experince with distance learning was not very great. We get distracted easily and find it hard to concentrate mostly in understanding so sometimes wejust depend in google and the impact of COVID-19 on student life becomes significant. These can be, for example, experiencing more workload, adapting oneself to an online learning mode immediately, or moving back to home without sufficient preparation but can also include more worries due to uncertainty and fear of pandemic.Another experience in pandemic isYou cant leave your house unless you wear mask. because Wearing a mask, and wearing it properly, can help keep us stay safe from the coronavirus. You cant have fun or vacation and during the pandemic such as concerns about the risk of being infected, losing a family member or loved ones.

I learned plenty of things during pandemic. I learned to cherish my loved ones. Appreciate every bit of time I’ve spent with them. And don't take them for granted because we never know when will be the last time we'll be able to laugh and chat with them.

I learned that everything is temporary, living being and things. So we all need to cherish what we have now before it’s all gone. I found out that people come and go, and there’s always a reason why we met someone. We need to be thankful for meeting them and made a lot of happy memories even in a short span of time with them.

During pandemic i also realized that health is wealth, taking care of our health will not just only benefit us but also to people around us. Especially with following the health protocols to prevent the virus from spreading.

Because of boredom I taught myself how to bake, do digital arts and paint. And I also found my passion, which is Painting.

I learned how self meditation work.
What started as one-week class suspension, ended up to seemingly unending community quarantine. I never really thought that the first week of March 2020 would be the last time I'll be at school that year. Despite the crystal clears blue skies from the lack of traffic. the future couldn't be more obfuscated and befogged as everyone waits anxiously in isolation hoping for the pandemic to pass. At the first few months of community quarantine, we were not allowed to go out unless we had a quarantine pass. On those days, I started doing things I have never done before to make use of my time. First. I started playing guitar. Then I downloaded an online game and started to paint. Before the pandemic, I only knew how to draw a clip art, since I'm not really good at drawing things. But because of the quarantine, I learned how to paint a still abstract minimalist pop art. I also learned to bake, read some books or whatever they call that self-help books. It was really out of boredom that I started reading some manwha titled the Remarried Empress, then after a while, I started enjoying it until I finished. So I think the most memorable experience of mine during the pandemic was when me and my family had a nice vacation at Moalboal. The most unforgettable experience is always hard for me to forget, and stays fresh in my memory all the time. I still remember the experience of being all my life. Last summer (2020), my family and I spend our holiday on Moalboal. This is one of the beautiful beaches in Cebu. My family told me many interesting things about Moalboal. There are many interesting things to see and to do. I and my siblings are very pleased and excited to got to Moalboal. After arriving at Moalboal, we check in into a hotel. At evening we go to the beach to snorkeling. The boat ride took us to a larger pontoon boat anchored in the middle of the reef. After a brief instructional video on how to snorkel, I was ready with my medium flippers, a life jacket. large goggles and most importantly, a snorkel. I can see various kinds of fish in the sea. There is a large variety of fish, small and very unique. Our activities in Moalboal just snorkelling and diving because my family and I are very excited to see the beautiful and unique fish and turtles. After three days we were in Moalboal, we went back home. The day went by so fast. My family and I have many memories of that day. I will never forget the experience of a holiday with my family.

One of my most memorable experiences during the covid 19 pandemic was getting my vaccination shot. It was a surreal feeling to finally recieve a dose of hope after months of uncertainty and fear. I can't even understand what I am feeling that day, it was mixed feelings , happiness, because finally after a long time of waiting I was finally having my turn getting vaccinated, and also fear and being so anxious because of being a first timer.

I got my first dose of the vaccine during the 1st day of December. I had a bit of soreness on the arm where I got shot. Last day of the month December was when I received my 2nd dose, I experienced more arm soreness and headache.
Nevertheless I made sure to stay informed about the vaccine and it's side effects. I also followed safety protocols such as wearing mask and practicing social distancing.

The COVID-19 pandemic has made me realize and experience lots of things, like staying at home all day made me realized the amount of time I have in my hands. I most likely used my spare time doing productive things, like reading books, cleaning our house, cooking and organizing my room.

The pandemic somehow made me grow up and matured me personally. It Also made me acknowledge that we people are capable of doing anything, we just have to fight and never let anything stop us.
