Nicotine is also used in insecticides<br><br>-Long term effects-  increased <strong>risk</strong> of stroke and brain damage.<br>-affects the body and mind-  <strong>Nicotine</strong> acts in the <strong>brain</strong> by stimulating the adrenal glands to release the hormone epinephrine (adrenaline) and by increasing levels of the chemical messenger dopamine.<strong>Tobacco smoking can</strong> lead to lung cancer, chronic bronchitis, and emphysema. Regular doses of <strong>nicotine</strong> lead to changes in the brain, which then lead to <strong>nicotine</strong> withdrawal symptoms when the supply of <strong>nicotine</strong> decreases<br> <br>-Emotional-<strong> nicotine</strong> improves mood and concentration, decreases anger and stress, relaxes muscles and reduces appetite. </div>]]></description>
