I wish you could tell how it gets bigger and bigger so that the inside of the zine is 8x the size of the front & back covers but I think this version will suffice. While I used downloaded images from the internet, each image was cut out & pasted by hand.

The text around the border of the 2nd & 3rd pages reads: I am a monolingual, English-speaking Mexican-American with deep roots in the South Texas region I live in now. My estrangement from the Spanish language, while not voluntary, presents a crisis of identity; not for me, but from outside perspectives meant to decipher what it means to possess my identity.
My interest in dress functions on the premise that clothing and textile are a valid form language and expression of identity, as well as indicative of greater cultural and social trends. All images belong to their respective copyright holders.

The middle section:
The Portugese-Brazilian performer Carmen Miranda (1909-1955) represented an archetypical Latin American bombshell to Hollywood. A white woman, her iconic costuming is derived from the style of Afro-Brazilian female street vendors in colonial Bahia.
