1.The topic I used is effects of drugs, specifically agonist drugs. Agonist drugs is a substance that activates receptors in the body to create a certain effect, it basically helps trigger a response by acting like natural chemicals in the body.

2.This source is valid since it is a .gov site, and .gov sites are known for providing official information and services from federal, state, local government entities. Therefore any site that starts with .gov is always valid.

3.The source I used is linked on top, This source gives us the definition of what a agonist drug is. Comparing this site to our textbook they both give us the same definition and what this specific drug does. The difference between the site and textbook is that the site only gives you the definition but the textbook goes into detail by showing you an image of how the drug works in the body and shows you the process slowly on how the drug works on chapter 2 page#43, Figure 2. It also shows you the opposite of what the agonist drug is which is antagonist and this drug is a substance that activates receptors in the body to block or reject other chemicals in the body.

I will compare and contrast what I found in the textbook about cortisol and what I found in AI

The first comparison between the source provided to me by AI which is https://www.mdpi.com/2073-4409/12/23/2726 (MDPI Behavioral Sciences) and the textbook is that they both mention how cortisol is also known as a 'stress hormone' released when were under physical or emotional stress. In the textbook page# 78 figure number 3.2 states "As mentioned in Chapter 2 and discussed throughout this chapter, cortisol is the so-called stress hormone released from our adrenal glands when we’re under physical or emotional stress." And in the source MDPI provided by AI it states, "Several studies have underscored their efficacy in mitigating the physiological and psychological impact of stress [62]. For instance, mindfulness-based stress reduction (MBSR) has been shown to reduce cortisol levels, enhance emotional regulation, and improve pain perception [63]."

The second comparison is that both the source and textbook mention how the cortisol 'stress' effects our immune system, in the source is says, "These complex cortisol dynamics during stress, shedding light on the interplay between physiological, neuroendocrine, and immune factors in the stress response" and in the textbook it also states, "When we’re under stress, our immune systems are less able to regulate the normal inflammation system, which makes us more susceptible to diseases, such as bursitis, colitis, Alzheimer’s disease, rheumatoid arthritis." Both resources talk anout how this can lead to many other diseases and health issues.

When I was 8 my older sister and I wanted to play hair salon with our new hair brush kit we got. I still remember the hair brushes they were purple and plastic, my older sister said that she'll do my hair with the hair boar bristle (pic above) and try to give me a hair blow out, she was 10 at the time and didn't know how to do a hair blow out obviously. As she was trying to give me a hair blow out, she got my hair tangled really bad, she got most of my hair on the left side of my head tangled in the brush and couldn't get the brush out. I started to cry because when she was trying to untangle it, it would hurt me so we went downstairs to have our mom untangle it for me, my mom was trying to untangle it for half an hour she didn't want to cut it since my hair was tangled on my actual head not only on the end of my hair, my uncle came over our house that day and saw my mom trying to untangle it , after he saw the amount of hair my mom took out of my head and it still being tangled he just took us to the hair salon a couple houses down from us so a professional can do it. The hair stylist told my mom to hold me since she was going to open up the plastic hair boar bristle and it would hurt. I don't know how she got to open up the plastic hair brush but all I know now is that every time I see that brush specifically I get scared to use it and try not to.

Generalization: I wasn't only afraid of the plastic hair boar bristle I was afraid to use every other boar bristle brush whether it was plastic or not since I thought I would get my hair tangled again and didn't want to risk it. I also didn't like using hair dryers since the left side of my head would hurt when heat gets on the side my hair got tangled on only.

Discrimination: Although a regular hair brush is also a type of brush I wasn't as nervous or scared to use it since it looks different then a boar bristle brush, therefore regular hair brushes and any other brush didn't scare me or I wasn't afraid to use them since they don't look like the boar bristle brush.

This isn't my first time using AI for an assignment I used it for biology since my professor gave us an assignment about AI similar to question #3, for that assignment it went well, what I like about these assignments is it shows you how textbooks are detailed and are always more in depth then AI, it does sometimes depend on the topic you ask, AI just gives you the summary or conclusion of a topic you ask about. The information provided by AI is valid I know that because of my experience using AI you have to know how to ask the right questions. If I were to use AI again I wouldn't change anything I would do what I normal do just ask specific and right questions, to get answers that make sense and are valid.
