Light travels extremely fast and over long distances, carries energy and information, travels in straight lines, bends and bounces when it comes in contact with objects, has color, and has different intensities, and can be bright or dim. To measure light waves we use nanometers which equivalent to one billionth of a meter.

Specular reflection is a surface reflection, where each incident ray produces only one reflected ray. Diffuse reflection is a surface reflection, where each incident ray produces many scattered rays. Refraction occurs when light bends while crossing a surface or moving through a material. Index of refraction is a number that measures how much a material is able to bend light.
