All grade levels set their goal at 80% and the growth thus far has been nothing short of AMAZING. This is in part to teachers using best practice and instructional routines correctly and interventions at the tier 3 level being delivered faithfully no matter the circumstances. (I will share our graphs at the meeting tomorrow).

It also made our administrator very happy!

This shift in thinking has created a culture of quick failing, reflection, and revising our thinking. We have mirrored that thinking with in-building and out-of-building learning walks. Coverage was a challenge, but a workable plan was put in to place. The teachers actively shared successes and "not yets" and collectively set goals and developed action plans. While we don't have all of our assessments in yet, the ones we have are showing huge growth!!!]]> 2018-05-09 03:29:16 UTC https://padlet.com/clongley3/ip22txrwfusw/wish/259148983 Platform Fair exhibiting growth mind ndodge https://padlet.com/clongley3/ip22txrwfusw/wish/259696600 Working with our NPL coach’s we have been preparing our staff for the one to one devices next year.  We held multiple PD’s on the basic OneDrive and OneNote.  For many of our staff moving to devices has been a scary process.  It was important for us to encourage growth mindset to the staff members who were allowing fear to limit them.  Finally, we had a “Platform fair” where we had multiple teacher leaders choose a platform them were familiar and comfortable with and teach it to other teachers.  We had each platform on a bingo card with a QR code.  After visiting that platform, the square was marked off and the teacher moved on to another platform until the had a BINGO, which took the entire hour.  We had fun BINGO prizes and even black out prizes, but the biggest prize was to see all the teachers enjoying and learning different platforms and realizing it isn’t as scary as they thought.  They were able to see if Mr. A could apply this platform to his class then Mr. B could too!  I am disappointed in myself that I did not take pictures of the fair, I was too caught up in helping provide support at the various stations.
