Alex pulls his spear out of a scorcher saying “That makes twelve whole team down”

“Twelve??? I only got… 16!!”

“Shut up”

Thud

“Do you hear that?”

Thud

“What?”

Thud

“That noise”

“Yeah why?”

THUD

“THEY HAVE A SAND DRACONIS???”

The Sand draconis jumps up on the hill and roars, shaking the ground.

“WOAH”

“This is not good”

“No kidding” 

“I’ll take the left you take the right, take out the legs”

“Got it”

The Sand draconis sees and launches a rock at Alex who quickly dodges out of the way.

Anthony shoots arrows at it but they just bounce off. Alex throws his spear at the legs and it barely pierces the skin. Anthony yells over to Alex saying “THROW ME THE SPEAR” Alex grabs the spear from the ankle and throws it towards Anthony. Anthony runs and grabs it he puts the spear in his bow. He draws back and aims it towards the head

“Alex, we should get some food. I'm starving.” Anthony says, rubbing his stomach. 

“I can go hunting if you want to get a fire going,” Alex added. 

“No, I'll do it, you stay here and start a fire,” Anthony said, grabbing his bow. “See you.”

“See you,” Alex copied.

A little while later Anthony came back dragging a dead pangolin. “Alright let's cook this,” Anthony said, dragging it to the fire. He grabs his knife and starts butchering it. He puts it on the fire and leaves. He comes back with salt rock and half a bat he puts the salt on the ground and starts breaking it up into pieces. Once it was broken into pieces he put it on the pieces of pangolin as it cooks the fire cracks and ash comes out  Burned palm leaf I thought. 

A bit later… “Finally done,” Anthony says, taking the cooked meat. He gave one to Alex. And Alex bit into it and swallowed “you really like it don't you!” Anthony said in amusement. 

“Oh, be quiet.” Alex retorted. “ We haven't eaten in a week. I bet it tastes good to you too.” He added. Alex looked at him. He looked as if he were staring into a nearby galaxy or something closer but nothing was there. “What's wrong?”

“It was like there was nothing no hogs no boars no cacroaches not even Sand golems something wrong,” he said looking out at the horizon. 

“Stop being all ominous, it's weird” Alex replies. “But you have a good point there's nothing It’s creepy”

“Alright let’s go find the scorcher outpost,” Alex says.

“But why It’s 11 pm I wanna sleep” Anthony complains.

“Well I’m itching for a fight and the scorchers took so many hideouts from us, even Apollo the apako who we used to find our last few hideouts and we can’t let them find this one” Alex replies.

“You’ve got a point, let's find the outpost and raid it,” Anthony says.

“And we’re gonna have to mutilate the bodies so that it looks like the wildlife killed them,” Alex added. 

While the duo is getting ready they hear something shatter in the part of the cave Alex blocked off with a wood wall and told Anthony not to go in. “Huh what was that?” Anthony asks. “why would something break like that in the restricted area” Anthony adds.

“I don’t know- oh crap” Alex replies before sprinting into the restricted area 

Seconds later Alex peeks his head out and says “ok umm we have an issue come in here” then pulls Anthony inside to show him a table with a cracked open egg but nothing inside. “What was in this egg Alex,” Anthony says grabbing him

“That's the issue I don’t know I just picked it up,” Alex says looking around suddenly a baby Draco stalker jumps on him and hugs his chest “awww he’s a cute little Draco stalker,” Alex says 

Looking at Anthony, “Can we keep him?” Alex asks “cuz I’m keeping him” Alex quickly added

“Stealth missions are gonna be so easy with a pet Draco stalker and we can research him for the book of monsters that we found in this cave.

“ANTHONY WAKE UP!” Alex yells “what do you…  wait what happened to jimmy” Anthony said

“Um well they grow fast…” Alex added 

“ᓭᓵ𝙹∷ᓵ⍑ᒷ∷ᓭ ᔑ∷ᒷ ∷ᔑℸ ̣ ᓭ,” Anthony says

“Ah yes enchantment table I’m a little rusty but I know you said scorchers are rats and you’re right” Alex replies.

“This isn't history class,” Anthony says jokingly.

“⍑ᔑ⍑ᔑ”(translates to haha) Alex replies.

“Ok ok ok let's stop speaking different languages it's a bit annoying” Anthony requests.

               Morning of the next day…

“AHHHHHHH OH MY GOD,” Alex screams.

“WHAT, WHAT IS IT, IS THERE SCORCHERS! SAND GOLEM WHAT IS IT”

“Nothing nothing my friend here just scared me”

“You’re frie- oh”

“Sorry oh, it's early,” Alex said looking at the sundial.

“Yeah 6:00 in the morning!” 

“Yeah, thanks Mr. Obvious,” Alex says sarcastically.

“Let's go get something to eat, there should be some breakfast rations in the cave over there,” Anthony says pointing under a palm tree outside.

“Ok, I will follow you over there.”

“But I'm tired.”

“Fine I’ll go, you stay here.”

“GOOD.”

“Calm down man” Alex says walking away smiling. Anthony lays down to sleep while Alex grabs the rations. 

An hour later Anthony wakes up to the smell of cooked rabbit. He yawns and says “I’m gonna take it on a walk”

“OK” Alex says as he hands him coffee and his rabbit. Anthony grabs his bow and walks off.

2 hours later Anthony gets back with big eyes and scrapes. Alex looks at him and says “what the hell happened out there”

Anthony smiles as a white fox bolts around him. It jumps on his shoulder in fear as it sees Alex. “WOAH WHAT IS THAT???” Alex yells.

“He followed me home after I saved him from some Cackroaches” Anthony replied. “I think I’ll call you Nebula.” 

“Thats a stupid name” Alex blurts.

“Shut up, you didn’t even name your draco yet”

“Well I don’t have any Ideas”

“How about Rocky?”

“Sounds great!”

“Cool, you got more rabbit meat?”

“Yeah” Alex says tossing it over

Anthony catches it and feeds it to Nebula.

“I was thinking about something” Anthony says.

“What?”

“Why do you think the scorchers are here?”

“No idea  Whatsoever”

“Ok…”

“Oooh I have an idea we could go explore new areas!!”

“Perfect! tomorrow morning sharp” 

“Got it”

“Sleep now”

“Fine”

The next day. Anthony wakes up to the sound of schorchers marching twored them. He jumps up and grabs his bow and arrows and wakes up Alex and gives him his spear. It was war.

“Anthony get up,” Alex says, slapping Anthony who is sleeping.

“What do you want?” Anthony asks. 

“Wake up it’s 6 AM time to scout the area,” Alex says excitedly.

“Why are you so excited it’s 6 AM?” Anthony asks sleepily.

“I mixed some cactus juice from the Saharan lotus cactus outside with powder from grinding up nightmare fish scales, cave berry juice, and well that's it,” Alex says

“How did you juice the berries WAIT THE SAHARAN LOTUS CACTUS IS POISONOUS!” Anthony yells 

“ I know but I figured if I mixed it with the delicious cave berries which are a natural antidote to most cactus poisoning I’d be fine and I am so” Alex replies “want some It’s like coffee and it tastes good,” Alex says

“Um sure I’ll have some” Anthony says before drinking some “that is good I already feel energetic alright let’s go, scout, before the sun fully rises,” Anthony says before they set off to scout the area. 

(On the ridge)  “Everything seems fine, wait there are some scorchers, dang it there must be an outpost nearby,” Anthony says

“Alright let's go kill them, they will blame the deaths on the wildlife,” Alex says happily.

“Psychopath” Anthony says.

“What?” Alex replies.

“Nothing -Nothing”

   

                      About 5 minutes later…

“Alright let’s go clean this blood off in the waterfall,” Alex says

“YOU HAVE AN ARROW IN YOUR STOMACH” Anthony yells pointing at an arrow protruding from his gut “no I d… OH THERE IS AN ARROW” Alex yells “That cactus coffee is like a numbing juice or something I don’t feel anything” 

“I’ll get the gauss wrap,” Anthony said going to grab a roll of gauss rap “I’m ba- YOU ALREADY TOOK IT OUT YOU’RE BLEEDING EVERYWHERE” Anthony yells

“WELL PUT THE GAUSS RAP ON IT THEN” Alex yells 

“Ok there, let’s wash the blood off in the waterfall now,” Anthony says, calming down a bit.

 

       

            

             2 months earlier…

“Great baseball game,” Anthony says, breaking the silence. 

“No kidding” Alex says, swinging his metal bat over his shoulder. As they walk home thinking of victory Anthony says “let's check on the fort” 

“Good idea!” Alex says, opening his mouth to taste the air.

“We’re here!” Anthony says, calling Alex. Then he paused, staring into the window “you seeing this.” he said.

“What the heck. I saw crystals but I didn't think they would grow...” Alex said, staring into the portal.

“Are you saying you saw aether crystals!?”Anthony said.

“I saw at least two.” Alex said, shouting over the sound of the portal spinning “Let's at least see where it leads.” Alex said, stepping through “byeeeee!” as he stepped through he felt weightless “AHHHHHHHHHHHHHH” he yelled as he fell from the portal. He felt hot sand under him with the sharp pain of the impact. Looking up at the sun he sees Anthony screaming his way down. Alex quickly rolls out of the way as Anthony faceplants in the sand.

“Ow,” Anthony said.

Lagarto gigante (lizard boi)

Apako: 10 ft long from the nose to the tail. Fists on the end of the wings have 3x the punching power of a silverback gorilla. I know from personal experience they use this punching power to break rock, spines, and jaws oh and they burrow with them.

cackroach: what the 

reeactaol: a roadrunner thing the size of a horse so people can ride it. They travel in massive flocks. No, they can’t fly

Scorchers: a gang that has taken over the desert with outposts everywhere. The desert stretches for hundreds of miles

sand golem: has poison that it can shoot in a burst. 

Diet and hunting: all species would normally be carnivorous, but when food runs scarce they make exceptions for rare minerals and ores. Hunting would be easy because of their natural abilities. Their habitat is in the Koharin desert wasteland.

Enough about these creatures let’s talk about a duo whose names were Anthony, and Alex they’re called the duo of demons.p

.Anthony is the leader and is very good at archery(Alex is helping him with close combat)and is our main hunter who stands guard with Alex and has a young white fennec fox.

       Alex is very good at close-quarter combat (Anthony is teaching him a thing or two about archery) and is our scout who stands guard at night and switches with Anthony, Alex Also has a mysterious egg.

The den of demons. The water has fish, there are bushes in the cave with berries and the water is fresh so it’s drinkable and the scorchers have not found it yet.

Heres my essay.

Being mature during focus.

Being mature in focus is an important thing to do. ESPECIALLY when others need it or require  it.

What is not mature is: talking with your friends when the teacher is teaching, horse playing in class, throwing items unless the teacher specificity needed it, and sharing your opinion when nobody asked for it.

 Being mature is like: if you drop your trash, pick it up. It is being quiet when the teacher is teaching. Also not arguing  with the teacher or getting in fight and causing headaches for everyone including the teacher. 

Being mature in class is important because, some people actually care about school, and just because you dont care doesn't mean that you need to disrupt everyone there too and ruin their learning and getting them grounded for poor grades.

These are the reasons why being mature is important in focus.
