         <description><![CDATA[<p>Scientists use different ways to warn us about Earthquakes and by doing that save lives. As it says in <a rel="noopener noreferrer nofollow" href="https://www.usgs.gov/">usgs.gov:</a> "<strong>Seismographs</strong> are instruments used to record the motion of the ground during an earthquake. They are installed in the ground throughout the world and operated as part of a seismographic network. The earliest "seismoscope" was invented by the Chinese philosopher Chang Heng in A.D. 132." Seismographs detect Seismic waves caused by moving tectonic plates. Seismographs show how violent and earthquake will be and when. It does this by drawing lines on a sheet and shows how the plates are moving. The closer together and taller the lines, the more powerful the earthquake will be. The further apart and shorter the lines the less violent it will be. This technology helps us by informing us in advance when an earthquake will happen and how strong it will be. In the end this is a great device that helps save thousands of lives.</p>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<p>Advances in technology help us predict and respond to earthquakes in many different ways. Today's technology is able to help us to respond to earthquakes in many different ways, here are a few ways. Our advanced technology is able to very very quickly detect seismic waves of an earthquake as soon as it begins. Allowing the technology to calculate what the maximum shaking is most likely to be.          <description><![CDATA[<p>One way scientist's have predicted earthquakes is IoT (Internet of Things). IoT is a connected network of technology and device scientists use this to track the seismic waves through where the technology is located. Whether it would be someone's computer in America or someones phone in Taiwan. They track the time taken from P waves to travel through the earth from an earthquakes epicenter. There's even an app on most phones that show your own seismometer in your area.
