• ^{My mom named me after Laura Ingalls Wilder from book Little House on the Prairie. I vividly remember  reading these books with my family before bedtime.} 
• ^{In my family, education was highly valued. I am following in the footsteps of 4 generations of educators- my great grandma was a high school art teacher, my grandfather was a professor of psychology, my grandma was a 4th grade teacher, my mom is a school psychologist, and my dad (after retiring from the corporate world) is a professor in finance.} 
• ^{My family has always made it a priority to attend all school events like plays and sporting events. I will continue this with my own family.}
