Babylonians conquered the Kingdom of Judah and deported a portion of the Jewish population into slavery. 

Second Diaspora took place after the Roman Empire crushed a Jewish uprising in 70 A.D
Roman Empire destroyed the Temple and exiled many Jews
Also refers to the dispersion of Jewish cultural, religous, philisophical and political beliefs.
