We are all responsible for te reo Māori me ōna tikanga in our classrooms. It is important that we all build our capacity to fulfil this responsibility, rather than treating Māori staff members as though they are, by default, a Resource Teachers of Māori.

When a school takes responsibility as a whole for ākonga Māori and kaupapa Māori, then responsibilities are shared and not all on the shoulders of kaiako Māori.
