My family is my most prized possession in life. I live with my only child, Paulina, our pet "Moca," and my husband, Raul. My extended family is scattered worldwide, but thanks to social media, we always stay connected.

A Teacher at Heart

I chose to be a teacher at an early age in life. I was passionate about languages and felt that I could easily connect with others. I knew
I had some personal skills
that would allow me to guide others in their learning processes. Therefore, I got my bachelor's degree in Foreign Language teaching at Universidad Pontificia Bolivariana in 1999 and have been teaching in different educational contexts ever since.
Along the way, other personal academic achievements followed, such as my specialization in English Teaching and Masters' in Foreign Language Teaching and Learning at Universidad de Antioquia. I firmly believe that the road to successful leadership in education is only possible when committed learning is present every step of the way as well.

A Music Lover

I love love, love life and all the wonders it has to offer! I enjoy a beautiful sunset after a busy day; the grace and unconditional love our pets give us; the sound of music (I play the guitar and sing), and the smells and tastes of good food (I also have a great time cooking). Therefore, I always intend to have a positive outlook on every circumstance regardless of how difficult things might seem to be at times.
