I think this is a crucial point in the development of a human. It is when children are most like sponges and towards the end they can start to put two and two together about results of their actions. Meaning, they look at what others do and will replicate. This is when they start to understand good vs bad and need to be taught what society puts into those two categories.

The early years of development are important because they lay the foundation across all developmental domains for future learning. Also if a child is not developing at the pace they should be, they can be provided support or early intervention services to either assist them or adapt their learning early on.

I think it is the most crucial because this is when a child's brain is developing and this is a big part in their life where they can learn social skills in and outside of school. Since they are at a very young age, it provides a concrete layer for more learning later in their life.

I would agree that students of Early Childhood age (Birth to 8), are in the most crucial time of their development as humans/citizens. Students at this age are new to learning and learning a lot of vital skills like reading, writing, and simple mathematical equations. If they do not learn these the proper way during this time, it could affect their development when they reach more difficult things like reading chapter books or doing algebra. Also children who are these ages are very easily persuaded about certain topics. Most likely, if their parents or an adult around them expresses how they feel about something the child will most likely develop the same opinion. It is important to not push ideas and opinions onto children and allow them to form what they think on their own.
