Review: I honestly LOVE horror stories from this author and I've read so many of her other books like TOOK, THE OLD WILLIS PLACE, etc.

For my end of year book recommendation I'm going to be recommending THE MORTAL INSTRUMENTS by Cassandra Clare. The protagonist, Clary Fray, is a sixtee-year-old "mundane" who found out that she was actually a Shadowhunter, a warrior chosen by the angel Raziel. A Shadowhunter is a warrior who has the blood of angels and who protects the mundane world from the Shadow World and other dangers, such as demons. There are six books in the main series, CITY OF BONES, CITY OF ASHES, CITY OF GLASS, CITY OF FALLEN ANGELS, CITY OF LOST SOULS and CITY OF HEAVENLY FIRE. There is both a sequel and a prequel to this series, plus a stand-alone titled THE BANE CHRONICLES. In the main series, Clary Fray finds herself in countless life or death situations. If you don't read this series, what are you doing with your life? If you do read this series and enjoy it as much as I do, there is a television series based on these books called "Shadowhunters: The Mortal Instruments" and can be found on Freeform and Hulu. Katniss the main character of the book gets put into the games with someone she knows, his name is Peeta Mellark and they soon will discover that the games are a hard and adventurous journey.

For Jasmine, Mira and Rohan to be a bit looked up upon and not seen as weirdos or freaks, all the kids planned on spending one night at the hotel, and whoever lasts the longest wouldn't be frowned upon as much... but then...

it went wrong.

Honestly, if you like horror, this is an amazing book for you. The emotion and the hardship those three friends had to go through made cold chills on me while reading.

I recommend this book because its a survival book so if you're in that genre, this book is for you. Cole gets banished to a private island in the middle of the ocean and he has to try to survive with limited supplies. Throughout the book he meets a spirit bear. This book made me want to keep reading because i wanted to find out if Cole survives against the spirit bear and out on the island.

While reading this book, you follow Rowan and Citra in a future world where everybody is immortal and the world needs Scythes to kill, or "glean", people to stop overpopulation. As I read this grand 3 book series, I made sure to think about the plot at hand and the twists always surprised me. I 100% recommend this book.
