The feedback was objective, but the algorithm in essence simplified our responses into generalisations, which may have caused the occasional instance whereby given information did not match ourselves.

The two of us found that our test feedback was equal parts accurate and inaccurate, given that we agreed with only roughly half of the statements made about our personalities, with some valid points and others that we felt didi not represent us.

For Dong Jun, his personality was said to be:
1) You prefer traditional and familiar experiences.
2) You probably have a messy desk!
3) You probably enjoy spending quiet time alone.
4) You are neither extremely forgiving nor irritable.
5) You tend to become anxious or nervous.
...this was found to be relatively true, but with some inaccuracies. This may be because the results from the method of questioning used by the personality test are too easily influenced by extremes. Additionally, the algorithm used may be too simple by simply having the questions be of equal weightage points scored.

For Siddique, his personality was said to be:
1) You are somewhat conventional.
2) You tend to do things somewhat haphazardly.
3) You tend to shy away from social situations.
4) You are neither extremely forgiving nor irritable.
5) You are a generally anxious person and tend to worry about things.
...this was found to be mostly true, but with some inaccuracies. This may partly be due to the fact that the person undertaking the questions found it difficult to state the degree of which he agreed with the statements provided (difficulty in decision making), resulting in a greater number of questions being answered in 'neutral' - 3 points, of the five, than what would have been accurate.

Although most of the results were objective, but we would say that the algorithm pretty much summarised our responses into different character traits. From the test, we did not really learn anything new from it as all it did was tell us things that we already knew about ourselves. However, this is not very surprising as personality tests use the input of users to deduce their personality types. Hence, for a typical self-aware individual, the personality that the test shows usually would align with their actual personality.

The "Big Five" test can be said to be superior to other quizzes as it has many questions to try and accurately gauge our personality types. Moreover, this test provides an option for readers to input their own personal information so as to allow other quiz takers to obtain more accurate personality traits. Through this, as more people attempt the quiz and add their information, the quiz would have a larger database to work with, allowing future users to obtain more accurate data about their personality.

In our opinions, what makes the "Big Five" tests superior to other casual Internet quizzes is the huge number of questions that seek understanding from almost every aspect of our personality, so that the result attained tends to reflect who we are with high accuracy. This can only be done through years of researching and experimenting human behaviour which definitely stands out from other poorly researched Internet quizzes. Moreover, the test is able to categorise our personalities into five distinct aspects. Hence, our answers to the questions which belong to one of the aspects can be assessed and processed objectively and precisely.

The "Big Five" tests is superior to the other, more casual Internet quizzes because it has a wider range of questions and they are more specific so the results generated was more accurate. The test also takes into consideration people from more countries, and people of all races can do this test. Other casual quizzes does not cater to such a large group of people from all races and religions. Furthermore, more people from around the world takes this test compared to other tests, implying that this test is more reliable.

The two of us had a discrepancy in how we perceived the accuracy of the test. Jerome felt that it was largely accurate while Khushi found that it was not. This could be due to our own personal beliefs and biases, since the test is self-administered and thus subject to our own biased human nature. We might be inputting what we believe ourselves to be rather than what we actually are, and when we receive our results, comparing it with our actual selves may be disconcerting and surface the discrepancies in how we perceive ourselves. Furthermore, it is hard to objectify ourselves and quantify how we feel about ourselves, complex human beings, based on a simple scale of 1 to 5. Moreover, existing perceptions of the test and having prior experiences with other personality tests may further bias our viewpoint of the results. For me (Jerome), I have done other personality tests and have come to predict what my results may be, causing me to possibly innately bias it in such a way as to receive my preferred results, in comparison to Khushi who has not done such tests and will be more surprised at her own possibly more objective results and subsequently disagree with it.

For Jerome,

1) You typically don't seek out new experiences
2) You probably have a messy desk
3) You probably enjoy spending time alone
4) You find it easier to criticise others
5) You are a generally anxious person and tend to worry about things.

For Khushi,
1) You prefer traditional and familiar experiences.
2) You tend to do things somewhat haphazardly.
3) You are neither particularly social or reserved.
4) You find it easy to express irritation with others
5) You aren't particularly nervous or calm.

I actually disagree that the test is superior to other online tests and found that its analysis was quite shallow. One example of what I perceive to be a better test would be 16personalities, which analyses your personality on more in-depth and high dimension metrics. This test focuses more on the social aspect of your personality, 1) refers to your outgoingness and willingness to try new experiences, 3) is about your extroversion, 4) is how well you work with others and are willing to be frank with them and 5) is about your emotional stability. Most of these metrics are socially based, and do not go into the psychological aspect of your personality. Furthermore, the fact that the test is self-administered decreases its reliability quite a fair bit as it exposes the results to human bias and perception, decreasing objectiveness. However, if you put a gun to my head and to express my intense love for it and name its positive qualities, I would be inclined to say that tries its best to measure the basic aspects of our personalities through the 5 metrics, and does a decent job at simplifying and categorising us.
