             William Clark was said to be “strong and muscular” which would be very helpful during this trip.  We may need to move a large object or carry around materials, so having someone strong would be very nice.  Clark had lived near Louisville, and there he learned many wilderness skills.  Having wilderness skills would be very helpful because when traveling, there will be a lot of wilderness around.  Being able to use our resources would be very helpful.  Overall, Clark has a lot of important and beneficial skills that would help us during the trip.  

]]> 2019-02-01 17:12:48 UTC https://padlet.com/mtyler23/inrhxp94wbbx/wish/326785287 Private: mtyler23 https://padlet.com/mtyler23/inrhxp94wbbx/wish/326785627    I would like to have Private William Bratton assist me on my trip.  Bratton was considered to be one of the best young Hunter and woodsmen in his area of the country.  This would be very helpful during the trip, because we would need to hunt to find food.  We would also need to be able to use our resources.  Private William Bratton was seeking medical attention, when he encountered a bear.  He shot and killed the bear dead center.  This shows that Private William Bratton is a good shooter, which would be helpful if we are in danger. 
          When William Bratton shot the grizzly bear, he used it for more than one purpose.  He used the meat for food and grease, and then he saved the hide for other purposes.  Having the skill of using resources from different animals would be very helpful on this trip.  Private William Bratton was also a blacksmith and a gunsmith.  These details are very helpful when you need to use guns, and deal with different resources.  
           

]]> 2019-02-01 17:13:29 UTC https://padlet.com/mtyler23/inrhxp94wbbx/wish/326785627 Non-Military: mtyler23 https://padlet.com/mtyler23/inrhxp94wbbx/wish/326785945    As a member of the Corps, Sacagawea dug for roots, collected plants to eat, berries, and gathered materials to make medicine.  Being able to gather food to eat and also use it to make medicine is an extremely important trait to have, so this would be very helpful on the trip.   While Sacagawea was on a boat, a storm arose and almost all of the important documents were lost.  Instead of freaking out, she solved the problem, and all of the documents were safe.  Being quick in times of distress is important because fall apart when people need help most would hurt us more than help us. 
           Sacagawea also acted as an interpreter for the Indian tribes and the men.  She knew how to speak french and also the language of the Indian Tribe, so she could help the two groups communicate with each other. This would be very important in case we had to talk to Indians that we came across if we needed help or directions.  

]]> 2019-02-01 17:14:05 UTC https://padlet.com/mtyler23/inrhxp94wbbx/wish/326785945 Native Americans: mtyler23 https://padlet.com/mtyler23/inrhxp94wbbx/wish/326786512  The tribe I am choosing to talk about is the Shoshone Indians.  These Indians live in the eastern and western area of the Rocky Mountains.  When these Indians first met Lewis and Clark, they welcomed him.  Lewis showed them a sign of peace, and so Lewis and his men were welcomed.  The Shoshone Indians provided Lewis and his men with tepees to stay in and food to eat.  The Shoshone Indians lived in roofless huts, and they hunted a variety of animals.  They overall did help Lewis and Clark by giving them a place to stay, and some food to eat.
