Wilson tried to keep America neutral during WWI, but ending up leading them to join the Allied Powers in 1917. Wilson believed that WWI was "the war to end wars" because it had taken so much time, money and energy so it just needed to be realized by everyone that war isn't the best option.

It was made to create relationships between nations and prevent future war. It consisted of 40 countries, but the United States were not one due to Americans not wanting to get involved in future conflicts in Europe. I think he is very interesting and I think it is so cool that he tried to fight for world peace by creating the Fourteen Points and the League of Nations. To me, it's really inspiring to see someone be apart of something so large and life changing because today not many people stand up for what they think is right, so Wilson is a great role model for this!
