         <description><![CDATA[<div>As of the 6th April 2016 is it now compulsory for every dog in the UK to be micro-chipped. <br>Any dog is found to not be micro-chipped, the owners could face a fine of up to £500.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Micro-chipping is beneficial because it gives every dog an identity, which means if an animal shelter finds a stray dog it can be scanned and returned to the rightful owner. </div><div>It’s an effective way of keeping the amount of strays down, and keeping animal shelters less crowded.</div><div>If an animal is found to not be micro-chipped, one will be fitted at the time of scanning.<br><br></div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Risks are minimal, however they can be painful upon insertion if the veterinarian is inexperienced or the dog moves. </div><div>There have been a few rare reported cases of animals becoming ill, or even dying due to incorrectly fitted microchips. Although most of the time microchips are fitted without an issue and the dogs continue to live normal lives.</div>]]></description>

         <description><![CDATA[<div>Microchips are fitted with a very straight forward process, it is fitted between the dog's shoulder blades with a hypodermic needle. Most microchips are fitted without anaesthetic but this is down to the vet’s discretion. A microchip is about the size of a grain of rice.</div><div><br><br></div>]]></description>
