In confusion city there is no youth club providing space for activities, Internet access and socialising and leisure time activities. There are only some local cafeterias where the young people hang around

Our needs:

• National Government: We need the national government to be flexible and open to modifying the school curriculum to incorporate our suggestions.

What we are willing to negotiate:

• We understand that drastic changes cannot be made overnight. We are willing to work on a phased approach where changes are gradually introduced.

Issue 2: Setting up a Youth Club

Our needs:

• Space and Resources: We need a dedicated space where young people can engage in activities, access the internet, socialize, and participate in leisure activities. This requires funding and resources.

What we need from the other actors:

• Local Municipality: We need the local municipality to provide a suitable space and the necessary funding or resources to set up and maintain the youth club.

• National Government: We need support in terms of policies that facilitate the establishment and operation of youth clubs.

What we are willing to negotiate:

• We understand that resources may be limited. We are open to exploring different funding options, such as public-private partnerships, grants, or community fundraising. We are also open to starting with a smaller space and expanding as more resources become available.

We need to map different alternatives of non-formal education methods that are already implemented elsewhere in order to have some alternatives to propose.

We need to establish alliances both knowledge-wise and action-wise.

We need the involvement of the municipality and local building companies in order to be able to facilitate the physical spaces for extra-curricular activities.

We need the support of the local government and NGOs in developing a plan for implementing the change in education.

If there are limited resources, we are willing to prioritise our issues and direct more focus towards a certain issue.

We need the municipality to provide a physical space.

We need the NGOs to provide their expertise in planning, organising and facilitating spaces for youth.

We need the NGOs to facilitate activities and events for youth.

The space for youth can be a space that is used for multiple purposes.
