The most shocking thing for me was that she was so brave and actually went to an asylum to experience everything herself. I think it’s amazing because not every journalist could do something like that.
2. If people have real mental illnesses, it’s unbelievable that they were treated like that. I think it was inhumane because they should have helped and taken care of them, but instead they treated them badly.
3. No, I wouldn’t because the people who treated patients like that could be dangerous and it could be harmful to my mental and physical health. But I don’t think Nellie Bly was short-sighted because she knew what she was doing and had a clear goal.
