A: When Frida Kahlo had gotten into the accident September 25, it caused her to suffer serious-almost-fatal injuries. It included a broken spinal column, a broken collarbone, broken ribs, a broken pelvis, eleven fractures in her right leg, a crushed and dislocated right foot, and a dislocated shoulder. An iron handrail went through her abdomen and her uterus, which gave her the inability to have children. She recovered the ability to walk, though since the accident left her with nothing but miscarriages Frida became depressed. She expressed her feelings through her paintings, mostly self portraits.
