Funds were much more easily raised by the Empire than by the Continental Congress. Some of those funds were used to hire Hessian mercenaries to fight the Americans.<br><br>But they fought at a really distant land so the supplies and&nbsp;reinforcements got delivered on a long time, also was foreign land so strategic was more difficult.</div>]]></description>
