         <description><![CDATA[<p>Instructions:</p><p>-Turn to page 237 &amp; read the introduction to <em>The Canterbury Tales</em>. </p><p>-I will split you into three groups &amp; assign you a specific character to read about.</p><p>-In each of your character's section, answer these questions:</p><ol><li><p>What are some adjectives and descriptive language that Chaucer uses to describe your character? What do those words mean? (Write at least words/phrases)</p></li><li><p>Decide if Chaucer approves or disapproves of your character.&nbsp;How did you come to this conclusion? Use evidence from the text, including the words he uses to show this.</p></li></ol><p>After we have discussed this as a class, answer these two questions on the Google form and turn them in before you leave.</p><ol><li><p>Which of these characters does Chaucer seem to disapprove of? How can you tell?</p></li><li><p>What qualities do the knight and the plowman have in common?
