In the 1700s when fur was a hot cometary that in plenty of money/ good/trades it was mainly in the western more areas. But as the USA grow so did its demands. Originally we relied on the natives for the fur trade but by the 1800s we knew that the native could not supply us with enough. So that is when the job of a fur trader hit it big with people looking for some cash flow. The people who took this job as fur trappers and hunters were referred to as mountain men. That is like the "old-timey" way of saying, outdoorsmen. This job was considered a dangerous job because of how they were living by themself very secluded.

link to my source: https://www.unco.edu/hewit/doing-

Now their views were very one-sided and were not very open-minded and respectful by today’s standards. But their main goal was to turn non-catholic into catholic. The main targeted group was the natives. Now, this is a first amendment violation but that is what the missionaries did.

 link to my source:
https://www.nwcouncil.org/reports/columbia-river-history/missionsandmissionaries

One for the numerous movies that were made about it but also that it was for texas to have independence. the war lasted just under a week and everyone who fought for Texas in that war was killed or executed by Santa Anna who was the leading general of the Mexican army. Now as we learn more and more we learn that this fight this war for independence was not the idea that was agreed with.

In the time of the industrial revolution, hydropower was very important. It was important because the flowing water was converted into power through a wheel that had groves in it so the water would make it spin and give motion to the machines like the Spinning Jenny. Many big cities were made around flowing bodies of water so the machines could work. Nowadays hydroelectric power is widely used as a renewable energy source. With hydroelectric plants like the Hoover Dam powering Nevada, Arizona, and parts of California.

link to my sources:
https//www.nationalgeographic.org

Telegraph offices started popping up a lot during the time of the industrial revolution. This form of language was created by Samuel Morse and Alfred Vail. many people picked up the skill of translating morse code. The invention of this code brought many jobs to light in the telagraph offices. Overall this was an invention that was really not a double-edged sword and helped us spread info and advance.

In the time of reform for the USA, it was a strange and cruel punishment. If you answered a question wrong in class the teacher might make you go stand in the corner and wear the dunce cap which a paper cone that had the word dunce writen verdicaly on it. If I was in the time where this was a punishment I pretty sure that my advice for myself and everyone would be to stay quite and just ride out the day. I wouldn’t be shocked if that is what was going throuhg other kid’s heads at that time too.

Many reasons caused the American Civil War. Personally I think that the biggest reason is Lincoln being elected. That was such a controlversial controversial south seceded to start their own country. The picture shown below is a great depiction of how most of the men were in rags well only the generals got suits to wear for the war. Now I can not tell in this picture whether this is the norht of the souths men. But based on how the men are dressed I would say that it is a depiction of the confederate army. But the American civil war is a great way of showing how much the south depended on slaves. Also shows the deep-rooted racism.

During the American Civil War weapons that most soldiers got a gun called a musket. It weighed 10 pounds and it would fire at a rate of one shot every 30 seconds. Now at the time of the Civil War that is a fine rate of fire. Now by today’s gun standards that is a terrible gun. Today you can get a gun that could shot about 1000 rounds per minute. The musket was said to be shot so hard that your shoulder where the stock touches would be bruised and battered. In modern days where the stock touches your shoulder that type of injury just would not happen at all.

The reason is because the white slave owners were to wimpy to go into the swamp. It was not asuper great placeto live out your life because of all the snakes and bugs. Once more and more former slaves reached the swamp small towns starte to pop up. It did not happen often but some whites tryed to retriev their slavesbackby using speicillay trained dogs. But this normally never happened. This was an option for the slaves to get free along wiht the underground rail road.

The Union gave each of the soldiers issued muskets and uniforms. The Union was ready to make items like cannons and guns because 94% of the iron manufacturing was done in the north well the south only accounted for 6%. Iron is very important in making items of war. Also, you can see in the image below the uniforms were very different. The south wore their farm clothes and most did not have an issued gun to use. Some just used their pitch folks from their farm to fight.

I have done a post about the pre civil war weapons but the weapons that the union had durning the civil war was leaps and bound better. One of the biggest improvments was in the musket. They made it easier to use and reload. The gun got more consistant with its accurace. It could now shot up to 500 yard which is quite far. As well as bing able to shoot 3 shot a minuite instead of 1. What this meant is there would be a direct corilation of casualties to shots fired. In the end guns have gotten very good over the past yearsand we think of 3 shots per minuite as super slow but you have to remember what they had to do just to shoot one time.

It was the first war that the union had fought in about 10 years. Well, soilers were being enlisted they would take their families along for the ride too. This lead to people setting up picnics for them selfs to watch the war happen. For the Union had mass casualties with around 3000 dead and the Confederates had around 2000 dead. It was a marvel of an intention. It had 10 heavy guns on it. When the North got word that this was being made they decided to make their own to try and fight back against the south's naval forces. It was a battle that change history and leads to countries making strong naval forces too. What comes to mind when I hear strong navy i think of China’s navy and naval strength.
