In Plymouth they were part of the Congressional Church, in Jamestown they were part of the Church of England.<br><br></div><div><br>2. <strong>POLITICS &amp; POWER:</strong> Who controls the creating and enforcing of laws?<br>The monarch does.</div><div><br>3. <strong>PEOPLING</strong>: Which group of colonists has stronger ties to Britain and why?<br>Jamestown because they were still part of the Church of England.</div><div><br>4. <strong>POLITICS &amp; POWER</strong>: Does either society pose a threat to the authority of the British Crown? How?</div><div>I think Plymouth does because they wanted to get away from the Crown, which means they could rebel if the church hovers over them too much.<br>5. <strong>PEOPLING</strong>: What are three reasons both settlements have in common for immigrating to America, and three differences?<br>1. Left for religious reason, opportunity in the New World, and to get away from poverty.<br>2. The differences are that Jamestown was still part of the Church of England, Plymouth people wanted to get away from Dutch roots, and the people in Jamestown went more to get money than the pilgrims did.</div><div><br></div>]]></description>
